I find it very difficult to get enthused by the whole State of Origin thing, and the drip-feed of articles trying to build momentum is annoyingly cynical. I think it is just an attempt to schedule another game so that the networks have to pay more to show it (probably wasn't included in the original rights, so the AFL can now go to market for it) as well as another chance to get revenue at the gate (that the clubs won't benefit from).
It's like it was brought back by the same people who want to bring back Hey Hey It's Saturday.
