I very rarely buy club merchandise but just looked quickly at the website. Doesn’t seem that this company has taken over all the merchandise, but rather that the site offers one line produced by them. There’s still other stuff too. So no-one has to buy this expensive line.

And I happily bought the other 'good' stuff

The Mitchell and Ness stuff can get in the bin for all I care. We're a sporting club, not a street wear poser brand

I agree. You can sell your soul or the fabric of your club through your merchandise, or
you can be genuine and offer affordable merchandise to your supporters who support you.

but what about poorer people , say with kids that want to be able to but swans gear on themselves and family , surely we're not that elitest
They buy the cheaper stuff...I'm all for reducing wealth and income inequality, but I'm not sure sports team paraphernalia is the sword to die on.

Kids love their club stuff , i still have my sons Schneider signed jumper from 05
Sword to die on , some just can't afford it , maybe you can , but others can't , same as memberships

Yeah well. Life sucks.
The Club have chosen to put in a brand to give supporters a chance to show their colors with a different fashion statement to go along with the traditional Red & White Nike Sports Apparel Brand. All of a sudden people are up in arms because this brand are on the scene when we previously were flogging Nena & Pasadena. Once again along with the traditional Nike Sports Apparel Range. If you like it buy it if you don't like it or can't afford it don't. It's that simple.

i said that attitude in that post , some just can't afford it is all im saying
You do realise there's a whole lot of stuff in the world that some people can't afford? Healthy food. Basic clothing. A roof over their head. Fundamental things that reflects really poorly on us as a society.

To make a fuss over some people not being able to afford designer Swans gear seems a weird take.

All very true , i know .
My issue is that if this mob take over all the merchandise , but i could've misread a post , sorry

Gee whiz! What have I stumbled into? Looked at this thread for the first time just now. I wasn't interested in the thread title because I don't buy much merch. My partner knitted my scarf, my sister made my beanie. I do have a jumper that I bought and another beanie I bought (one cold night when I forgot my own) and a bazillion caps etc that come with membership.

Anyway, the point bedford seems to be missing is that this new, expensive line is an optional extra - it IS NOT REPLACING the regular merch. If you already understood that then I have no clue what you are on about.

You said "could've misread" after making a lot of very strongly worded posts and calling liz names like "elitist". I think it was needed. You like to stir things up and then act innocent and wounded when people call you on it sometimes.

I discovered, not long ago, that if on BF you use the word that sounds like the first part of country, then BF automatically replace it with "campaigner". Now, every time I see someone using the word "campaigner" I wonder which version they mean.

p.s. If you see me using campaigner (I think it's only happened once) then it's probably the NSFW version. (This post excepted.)

Decided to test it. I get Cunningham. I guess my autocorrect has a different set of experiences to yours.

Yeah I giggle internally whenever campaigner is said in the world now. Particularly at work

Might be a bit of an Easter egg, back when Eddie McGuire interviewed Kane Cornes post game around a decade ago (back when he was a player) and called him an old campaigner, but the first time he said campaigner he mispronounced it and sounded like the C word, could be the reason why that is
