I believe Mitchell and Ness are supplying streetwear for all clubs. Likely an agreement with the AFL.
The Club have chosen to put in a brand to give supporters a chance to show their colors with a different fashion statement to go along with the traditional Red & White Nike Sports Apparel Brand. All of a sudden people are up in arms because this brand are on the scene when we previously were flogging Nena & Pasadena. Once again along with the traditional Nike Sports Apparel Range. If you like it buy it if you don't like it or can't afford it don't. It's that simple.

There is tons and tons of reasonably priced merch for sale - Kmart sell it for example, to call Liz elitist is over the top.
i said that attitude in that post , some just can't afford it is all im saying
You do realise there's a whole lot of stuff in the world that some people can't afford? Healthy food. Basic clothing. A roof over their head. Fundamental things that reflects really poorly on us as a society.
To make a fuss over some people not being able to afford designer Swans gear seems a weird take.

Gee whiz! What have I stumbled into? Looked at this thread for the first time just now. I wasn't interested in the thread title because I don't buy much merch. My partner knitted my scarf, my sister made my beanie. I do have a jumper that I bought and another beanie I bought (one cold night when I forgot my own) and a bazillion caps etc that come with membership.
Anyway, the point bedford seems to be missing is that this new, expensive line is an optional extra - it IS NOT REPLACING the regular merch. If you already understood that then I have no clue what you are on about.

I discovered, not long ago, that if on BF you use the word that sounds like the first part of country, then BF automatically replace it with "campaigner". Now, every time I see someone using the word "campaigner" I wonder which version they mean.
p.s. If you see me using campaigner (I think it's only happened once) then it's probably the NSFW version. (This post excepted.)

Might be a bit of an Easter egg, back when Eddie McGuire interviewed Kane Cornes post game around a decade ago (back when he was a player) and called him an old campaigner, but the first time he said campaigner he mispronounced it and sounded like the C word, could be the reason why that is

I find it very difficult to get enthused by the whole State of Origin thing, and the drip-feed of articles trying to build momentum is annoyingly cynical. I think it is just an attempt to schedule another game so that the networks have to pay more to show it (probably wasn't included in the original rights, so the AFL can now go to market for it) as well as another chance to get revenue at the gate (that the clubs won't benefit from).
It's like it was brought back by the same people who want to bring back Hey Hey It's Saturday.
Watch for the manufactured 'rivalry' of old players trying to slag off the other states in future articles/videos.

I hate to say it, Bedders, but it won't be the same as you remember and there won't be the same passion. It really belongs to an era when SA and WA had no way of measuring their own comps against the VFL who was poaching their best players, so it provided them with a chance to get them back.
The footy landscape has changed now and I think there will be more a sense of curiosity than passion with this game.

I could never get into Hey Hey Its Saturday.
The only thing I liked about it was the Ostrich whenever I was forced to watch it.
