That's a funny one cultural heritage, my family always associated with being British and very much English even though they haven't been English for generations. I remember my grandmother bagging out the French like it was some how relevant generations later. It was pretty funny when my mum got a genealogy thing done and found out we were originally from France, Germany, Belgium and even had some Ukrainian, Hungarian and a couple of other races mixed in if you go back far enough. My family are generally considering themselves to be WASPs though still. We are actually predominantly from Brittany and Cornwall, Wales etc many of the family so not even proper Anglo Saxons. Just a bunch of mongrels.

Hmmmmm and I thought you were 100% pure Mexican.

Aboriginal people must be of Aboriginal descent. If descent is hard to prove because of lack of records or unclear because of the passage of time since a known Aboriginal ancestor, then it is appropriate to consider whether a person identifies as an Aboriginal person and/or is accepted by their community as Aboriginal. Elder Aborigines can quickly interrogate a person and come to know whether their claim of descent is genuine. Torres Strait Islanders allow adoption into their family and this includes adoption of persons of no TI descent. adp Murris are Aborigines from Queensland and do not allow anyone to become an Aborigine just by self identification.
.

That's true, sorry for confusion I didn't mean elective association.

I know this stuff can get ugly, there were two groups fighting over being the rightful Tasmanian aboriginals. It was to take control of substantial amounts of funding and deciding where to spend it. Both groups were very european looking and it put a lot of people into opposing camps with both trying to discredit each other. It's very hard to prove.

Hate to say it because its now ancient history but I probably would have used pick 41 on Clem Smith over Lonie.
Great having a local kid from Seaford I know. Hopefully I am wrong on this. Might have been line ball decision if we were looking at a small fwd for that pick... Little Clem is a real goer. ON the angry pills. Could end up a cult hero.
