For the second week in a row I’m not sure why Ross is playing our $2m mid as an undersized full forward. Maybe he was explaining that to him whilst he spent 6 of the last 12 minutes on the bench after kicking a goal?

At least the enormous bubble has burst early this season. Hopefully cheap holidays by September.

I think the higher scoring across the AFL with the rule changes might bring Ross unstuck. Teams are going to score higher now and Ross with his low scoring game plan will most likely not work.

Have watched both of your games this season and cannot understand why NWM is playing forward so much? Is it to try to break a tag? Surely you’d rather have him getting 25-30 damaging touches in the middle than kicking 2-3 playing out of the square?

Hard watch. Our general skills and ball movement kills is again. Some serious concerns after this one, our entries inside 50 are dreadful as per.

Keeler just looks so laconic and whilst has all the talent, you need to compete. Getting out bodied and thrown off by flipping Sharp sums it up.

Even with Marshall, I have no confidence in our decision making to actually make a functionally forward despite promising signs in the two practice games.

Hammer had his colours lowered, if fit you’d imagine Dougal could come in. GWS tall forwards could give us some trouble.

Wish we pulled the trigger and sent Nas to half back, as dangerous as he is I feel it’s painful to watch us struggle to break the lines and rebound clean whilst he’s parked in the square.

In positives, Max Hall is a jet and was nice to see Steele play well without copping any boos.

The recruits are no better than the Ryder/Howard/Butler/Jones haul, who took us to the glory of a semi final.

We've wasted our early draft picks (Trav is a spud, Tauru may be ok but can't kick, Wilson shits the bed too much, Collard is a spud, Pou looks like an injury bust) so we have no elite talent coming through. King is done but will chew up salary cap space for most of a decade. TDK is about as good as Marshall but costs twice as much and will be one of the highest paid players in the league for 3-4 years after he is cooked.

Nas will leave when his contract is over and who could begrudge him?

I'd be surprised if Lyon is still coach by the end of the year

I will never understand why we don't try Owens as a midfielder, he can actually tackle and break tackles. We looked better when he was rucking against Gawn in the last quarter.

I think we will eventually click at some stage this season but it will be too late and probably end up putting us around the 10-12 stage like we have previously.

I've lost patience with Caminiti, bring back Howard and Stocker as well so we have some more defensive grit.
