Autopsy Saints v Dees

Great effort to come into a season without a competent AFL level late 20's KPF that could take some marks and take heat off the mid size forwards. I'd like to hear the reason behind that list management F up.

Oh chuck in a senior KPD too to the question.

He was asked why he moved him to full forward then took him off after kicking a goal when the game was there to be won- no answer was really given on this he just dribbled complete crap to try and deflect and justify his own ego. This is the entire problem with this club - can’t take ownership of mistakes and it’s always a fault of someone or something else
Again - what do you want him to say?

Sports science control the rotations.

Looks like he played the first 10 mins, took 5 mins out and then played the rest of the game

You want us to just stop rotating and have him out of gas in the last 5?

I used to love listening to Ross's pressers, but the past 12 months he has given nothing but drivel. I cant bring myself to watch them any more, win or lose. He might need reminding the club is still St Kilda and we have a penchant for sacking coaches. So if Lyon cant turn things around he might get his early retirement wish even with Barrat as President.

He is good in a press conference. Just knows how to bat it away and keep the club from the sharks.
The heat is gonna keep coming, hell earn his paycheck in pressers in the next few weeks

Four players going at one footy is a combination of composure and footy IQ - not coaching

To a degree, but that is literally what the review process is about. You highlight what went right and wrong and how to improve in situations. I remember when Fly took over Collingwood so much of that stuff improved overnight.

He just talks shit for 5 minutes meaning no one can get a question in

Easy excuse to make, head coach trumps the rotation guys. Show some balls and over rule them

Ross Lyon needs a major media blowtorch applied to him right now. And the other coaches. And the board. Where is a journalist with some actual balls to do it?

He’s either telling them to do it or they’re not listening to what he is telling them to do.

It’s ultimately gonna boil down to him if we keep doing it, nature of the job

If Nasiah hasn't been carrying an injury the last two weeks, I'd be shocked.

The amount of time he has spent at full forward or on the bench is riddiciulous given what we're paying him. The only explanation is injury.

And Ross' response in the presser or non answer pretty much confirms it.

Last thing they would like is their number paid player having to miss matches early on.

People that want to drop Tauru are crazy lol

Chased down Pickett, never gave up and managed to prevent a goal with the effort.

You can’t teach or coach effort, you can correct iffy kicking.
11 touches 2 tackles, he’s hardly forcing you to keep him in.

He probably shouldn’t have been playing, two weeks in a row with no obvious opponent for a kid who looks lost. We’re not giving him much chance of auccess

Just need a solid 10 game block in defence where he is instructed just to spoil in congestion.

Let the cobblers do the cobbling.

He’s taken two different clubs to Grand Finals.

We’ll be 3/3
How many has he won?

We’re 0/2 and losing to ****ing Melbourne.

Lets the optimists jerk him off, the rest of us call it as we see it

He took 2 lists that already were stacked with potential.

This is a totally different kettle of fish.

If we fail to make finals, he does not see his final year of contract.

The list and the moves that have been made over the last 4 years are his and his team.

There needs to be some accountability.

Agree that he looks lost to a degree.

If he’s going to be our third tall interceptor for the next 10 years, we need to drop Hammer and lock in the Jsos, Tauru, Wilkie combo.

Otherwise let him go forward. Would give us one of the most dynamic forward lines (when Sharman drops the symbols)

Coaches have got pre season horribly wrong. Not one line is working. The four key defenders doesn’t work. The forward mix is awful along with the structure and movement. without Hall we would have barley scored today. Seems to be a lack of pressure up there as well. Higgo’s pressure is a fraction of last year.

Hammer, Higgo, Sharman, McRae, Boxshall are all a mile of it.

Great to see NAS impact forward but gee we miss his influence on ball movement.

Didn’t mind Garcia’s game but he is no tough midfielder. More outside than inside.
One positive for me os Garcia's game. I think im in love lol. One of our only mids that could stick a tackle. Dont remember him wasting a disposal either
