Really? I thought this aspect of his game stood out above pretty much all other midfielders on the ground today.

Agree he was very good at drawing 2 then dishing off at the right time to release the runner.

There was one bit of play where he picked the ball up one handed on Carlton's forward flank in pouring rain and burned two players before delivering forward. If Judd had have done that we'd be hearing about it for a week.

Yeah might be a bit harsh, he had some good sideways movement and took the game on a lot but was 'almost' caught a few times.
He did very well though.

Was excellent stood up when no one else would kept us in it, looks to be really finding his feet with more game time, was in my best 3 for us.

He really had an impact when Pendles and Swan were given a lot of attention. If blokes like Dwyer didn't stand up, Pendles and Swan may never have had the late impact they did. Dwyer, Clarked, Lynch, Blair, Elliott. The second-tier blokes relieved some pressure today (haha).

I distinctly remember at least one of those "almost caught" moments as just backing himself to break the tackle in the wet and it coming off before kicking a goal. He has the experience to know maybe?

Great inside and crumbing skills. Strong core and kicks it well.

The one bad thing is that he takes too long to decide what to do, could have been caught holding the ball a few times and disposal was ineffective due to a tackle.

Don't forget this was a big match and faster than the VFL. He knows where to place the ball and how to kick unlike a newbee sitting on the Wing 'O'

I think it's a vindication of the elevation, but he knows that he's on a lease agreement with Broomhead out of action and still has to keep putting the runs on the board. The 2nd permanent elevation post round 11 is still very much a prize up for grabs.

Also thought he was touch and go with heat on him once or twice, but as others state, probably a sense that it was slippery and if he took off on another trajectory, the tackle wouldn't stick. He was right.

Good point.

It's going to be a strange situation if he continues to tear it up, but has to go back on the rookie list after round 8 to make way for Broomhead.
