Treated the AFL like it was the SANFL tonight. This guy has been absolute silk for the Magpies, relieved to see him doing his thing finally.
Definitely had my doubts but your right, he's picked up the pace of the AFL game now and thriving. Could turn into a Sam Mitchell type for us.

I liked his game against Melbourne in Alice Springs and thought he showed something as a midfielder there. He was really strong at the ball and body, plays like a good nuggety country footballer should. So pleased that he has taken his chance the past few weeks.
Is he Roger Jamesque?

Is he Roger Jamesque?

He does have some of Roger's cleverness about his play. He is surprisingly quick, probably quicker than Roger but then the game is quicker now than it was then.

You've gotta play players in their natural position, regardless of physique. That is an important lesson to take out of this. It also irks me we play Moore as an inside mid/tagger, rather than the HFF he was drafted for.

I've been hard on him like most. But **** me this bloke has made me eat my words as of late. Amazing job in the last couple weeks.

By the way. I feel it's finally time to bring up the fact that I picked up Sam Gray in the 2015 big footy draft. Not once but twice! #exclusive

Definitely a midfielder. The small forward experiment almost cost him his career.

Well done Sammy.

perhaps we could try him down back then?

Despite conceding that he proved my thoughts about him wrong I still laughed off any chance of him having an influence against Hawthorn on the pod. Bravo Sam. I think it was Portia or Macca who said leaving guys like that to wreck havoc is why threads like 'Spuds who tear us apart' exist :D

I am also relieved that he has finally shown what he's worth. Has a few more tricks in his bag as well. For those who know him they feel that he just took time to get a handle on the pace of AFL.

perhaps we could try him down back then?
lol, Maybe we could try Ebert down back as a spare man that uses his gut running to help defend since Sammy Gray and Arch have pushed him out of the middle. He's not really a goal kicker when forward.

Gone from certain delisting to a total rethink of our off season list management.

We've now got to squeeze Gray and Krak onto the main list and still cut 4 main list players.

i was wrong

he looked every bit an AFL footballer tonight... but even more... he looked like an absolute A grader tonight. Some of his work in close was some of the best i have seen this season. His handballing out of heavy traffic hit a target every single time
