Probably an exhibition- he's probably getting paid quite a bit. As always they'll make it a closish match. Federer did this alot last year with Sampras- he even lsot a match to him I think to get more spectators going to the matches...
Hewitt cant take it easy like Fed did. Probably be the other way around!

Even if Sampras could kill Hewitt on court, Sampras wouldn't allow that to happen to a current pro player who's probably at the lowest ranking in his career this decade.

You're probably right, butI don't think Sampras has forgiven or forgotten the bath Hewitt gave him at the US Open that year. If he gets a break up early he might pin the ears back.:D

Hewitt would struggle on the women's tour these days, most of them hit the ball harder than him.

Much more even match would be Dokic vs Hewitt.

Even if both players were at their prime, it would not suprise me to see Hewitt beat Sampras or even give him a run for his money. No-one will forget how good Sampras was because of his record, however, I think people are quickly forgettting just how good Hewitt was, albeit for a short period of time. Unfortunately for Hewitt, he just does not have the frame like Sampras did for longevity at the top.

Not dokic. Even someone like a Brydan Klein might wipe the court with say a Serena.

Karsten Brache (spelling?) from germany and ranked about 300 in the World played both the Williams sisters in a set and beat them both 6-0. they barley won a point. The Williams sisters were probably at their best then and Brache a tour veteran not very powerful more consistent cleaned them up. Your spot on, Klein would easily take care of Williams

If you plan to tell a story, why don't you actually give facts instead of making them up off the top of your head?

The sets were played in 1998, when Serena was 16 years old and Venus was 17. I would strongly refute that either of them were at their peak at that point in their career. In particular Serena. She did not hit her peak til I would say she won the Serena slam, where she won the 4 grand slams in a row, starting with the 2002 French Open to the 2003 Aus Open. If they had played at that point, I would say the score would have been a lot closer. Serena played some amazing tennis during that period.

Second, Serena lost 6-1 and Venus lost 6-2, so don't make up that they both lost 6-0.

Thirdly, Karsten Braasch was ranked 203 at the time, not 300.
