Entertainment & Music Samsung V Apple

Not sure if there is a thread on this but thought would be interesting to see what you guys think which one is better.
Personally Samsung for me i own a galaxy its very easy to use and store music etc... The app store is good if you want to go down that path. Tried to use an Iphone 4 but was way to confusing took me about a week to get used to it (Not sure if that makes me slow...) Just wondering what are your thoughts and what do you own, and why is it better?

Samsung just doesnt do it for me. I'm not a tech guy so dont try to sell me a better operating system or other crap like that, I just want a phone thats easy to use that can access internet etc. iPhone works fine for me in that regard.

Android phones in general are more customisable, more fully featured and are higher spec'd and the Android OS is also truly multi-tasked.
You're also not locked into Apple's "walled garden" eco-system . It is also alot easier to install custom roms and mix and match different flavours of the OS on Android, rooting the phone is a breeze and it is much easier to develop apps as the SDK is freely available and easy to use if you know a bit of Java.

Lastly, Androids are cheaper which is pretty much and indictment on the sheep that buy Apple crap, a much inferior phone is sold for more purely due to marketing hype and "coolness" factor.

I have a MacBookPro which I massively prefer over any other laptop, so then I got an iPod touch, then eventually an iPad (now I have several) and so last of all I got an iPhone, just because it fits in so easily with my other stuff...

I have no doubt Samsung stuff is good, just easier for me to have all my stuff the same.

I haven't seen an iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S3 drop test that hasn't seen the iPhone win comprehensively.

My opinion on the matter is pick your poison. They're all seriously good and a shitload better than the first Nokia 5110 us old bastards once owned!

I have an SII 4G.

Shits me that every time I get a text I have to unlock the screen to read it, but otherwise seems alright.

I like drag and drop, which is why I tend to avoid Apple products.

Not really going to get into the which is better, 'cause even though the S3 has better specs the majority of people aren't going to notice, but if anyone is wavering on the S3 because of the screen size (it was the main reason I was considering the iPhone 5): don't. You adjust to the size so quickly and because it's extremely thin (thinner than the 5) it fits in pockets so well.

I don't really have any apps on my S3 but one thing I have is plenty of e-reader apps. So, so easy to read books on the screen. It's like a mini-tablet.

I prefer simplicity in a phone so I've always gone with the iPhone. I prefer Android tablets though.

First time getting a smart phone i had to toss up between a 3gs or a HTC Desire HD, HTC was free on my plan so went the HTC. Next time Vodafone cut my HTC off during the changeovers, got offered either the Galaxy Note or the Iphone 4s, Note was free so I went with that.

Frankly I like the bigger screen but honestly I do pretty much nothing on my phone that makes a difference to the whole Android / Apple bit. All i use is ebay and the internet browser, so the whole app difference makes no difference.

I had to upgrade yesterday. My 2 year old son out my iPhone 4 in the microwave. I did not look in it as I was heating something up (its under a bench). Found the phone after 20 seconds on high.

I have therefore detected a significant design flaw. iPhones are not microwave safe.

Couldn't agree any more. I went from a N97 mini to a Galaxy Nexus and after the first 5 minutes of "this is massive" you get used to it. My old phone feels ridiculous when I pick it up now, like it's not even there.

I've copped no end of shit for it. And rightfully so.

It actually worked afterwards. Wifi aerial was ****ed, Bluetooth was ****ed and the screen was damaged. The battery only held a full charge for an hour and if I used it for too long it overheated. I was storing the damn thing in the work fridge.

My work requires me to be in contact all day, so I wore the buyout and took an iPhone 5. I'm sucked into the apple environment irretrievably now.
