I was a the game and I noticed Big Sandi trying to fall into the hole and play the loose man in defence. The problem was he was too slow to react and read the play. I can understand CC thought of putting such a big guy into the back line, (must be rather daunting look for you forwards on the lead and all you can see is this giant), but he was a witches hat. If the ball went 10 meters too either side of him he couldn't get to the contest and was a just a waisted player.

Just wonder what you all thought of this mountain of a man..
 
It's a good idea if he can learn to mark consistently. His problem isn't mobility, it's that he drops far too many contested marks after getting clean hands to it. That would be just about fatal in the backline.

He is marking a lot better. That one he took backing into the pack in the back line was a beauty.

CC used him there in the Derby that mattered. It certainly makes sides think twice about using the corridor.
