Fagan said on the radio on Friday that it'd be him, Noble and Roo making the decision for head coach. He did also mention in his first presser leaning on the knowledge or the "footy" guys, so it does sound like it may be an endoresement type deal. "I like the guy and if you think he's the man, then he's hired" type thing.

If you're the board and you want to keep your position maybe it's better to keep a CEO in place who you have some leverage over? Unlike now where the guy is looking to clean house and it seems that no-one is safe from being under the microscope.

He was a lame duck CEO which made the board's decision to keep him a shocker. You are correct in saying that this meant Trigg was incapable of managing difficult issues even if he wanted too. The last 2 year's has been wasted more because of trigg than Sando or Chapman, but all 3 must be made accountable. Chappy appears to be staying to help clean up the mess then will handover to roo.

Fagan has his job set as he knew there would be a new coach. On behalf of the board and the football department he has been tasked to administer the next option as coach now. Quite an introduction. Something he says he can do. Hope he succeeds!
