OK Since I have a bit of time before I go to the footy, I thought I would list how each player performed in the SANFL for all those interstaters.

Woodvile-West Torrens

Trent Hentschel had 14 possesions, 9 marks, 6.5 goals, 2 tackles.
Was named in Eagles' best players however he could have converted a bit better in front of goal. A bit more time with Jars is on the cards

Nathan Bock had 10 possesions, 3 marks and 1 tackle

Hayden Skipworth had 24 possesions, 3 marks and 5 tackles. Hayden Was named in Eagles' best player

Centrals

Daniel Schell had 5 possesions, 3 marks, 4.1 goals and 1 tackle

Sturt

Brent Reilly had 21 possesions, 4 marks and 4 tackles

Matthew Smith had 6 possesions , 3 marks and 1 tackle

Ben Nelson had 8 possesions, 1 mark and 1 tackle

West Adelaide

Jason Porplyzia (Rookie) had 11 possesions, 3 marks and 1 tackle

Luke Jericho had 10 possesions and 6 marks. Luke was named in Westies best players. (I saw last quarter of this game and Luke is a very strong overhead mark. Pretty good kick as well. Very quick)

Norwood

James Gallagher had 25 possesions, 5 marks, 1.1 goals and 1 tackle. James was named in the best players.

Michael Bratton (Rookie) had 11 possesions, 2 marks and 1 tackle

Glenelg

Jacob Schuback had 19 possesions, 6 marks and 3.1 goals. Jacob was named in best players.

Matthew Bode had 28 possesions, 4 marks and 3 tackles. Matty was named in best players.

South Adelaide had a bye so Aidan Parker and Michael Doughty did not play this week.

Looks like there was some good performances in the SANFL which keeps the competition for spots fierce.:)

I agree with what Stiffy said as well. To paraphrase:

* Good player at SANFL level
* Dud at AFL level

These guys could all be in strife to stay on the Crows' list come the end of the year. I'm not sure what everyone sees in Bock, but I still can't work out why we promoted him from the rookie list.

However, most of the other names you listed Stiffy look very promising & handy to have some depth come finals time.

Bock will probably get another year Kane, although he hasn't come on as well this year as well as one would have hoped.

The other 3 - Schell, Smith and Nelson are dead ducks IMO.

*Giggles like a schoolboy in year 8 sex ed.*

I didn't realise he'd done his 'string... but Dave and Stifler have hit the nail on the head ;)

edit: typographical errors make dyertribe cry

I doubt he will make it as a key position player - more likely perhaps picking up a role on medium-sized type player. The Eagles are playing him up forward - I'd like to see them play him in defence more - or even on the wing.

[there seems to be two threads developing now about this]
