Sarge for Sylvia

I reckon sarge will have some currency come trade time, at 22 years many would argue still young by KP standards, in fact it would even pay to play him for remaining 4-5 weeks of season to build up his worth

Melbourne will be keen for a KP player post season, this young fella sylvia has been a massive dissapointment since earning a lofty reputation as a junior. Could be a gamble worth taking, has good size about him, is he worth a punt?

I would take that deal. We might need to throw in a 3rd or 4th round pick to make it happen?

We have a few young KPP now: Riewoldt, Hughes, McGuane, Pattison and we may add one or two more in the upcoming draft.

However, strong bodied midfielders are something we lack at Tigerland (only Cogs, Tuck, Jackson and Foley spring to mind), so one more would be handy to feed the ball to the outside runners in Lids, Tambling, Edwards, Raines etc.

I think Sylvia hasnt been given THAT much of a chance at Melbourne, he's been playing on a HFF recently and struggled to get into the game. I've watched him closely and keep thinking he's very, very close to breaking out into the player many thought he would be.

Definately worth a punt IMO if we could make this deal happen...

if he hasn't then is it any wonder you've only won 2 games..., he's been $%^#'en useless...in any way shape or form, however given his pedigree it just might be worth giving the bum a second chance.

This thread had potential until I found out that Sarge was Shultz ...actually pretty obvious now that I think about it.

Sylvia may forever be rated highly only by Melbourne supporters and a few others but we still love him and see a lot of potential in him. He ain't going anywhere

Sylvia's problems are between the ears. Poor attitude is costing him and Melbourne are reluctant to play him. A new-broom coach could certainly trade him - but I'd expect with Holland, Godfrey, Yze, Bizzell and a dozen other comfortzone veterans taking up space - they'll keep Syliva.

schulz has probably just held his worth on the pick he was selected with (16 i think?) - which is fairly disappointing considering the amount of development time we have put into him - he possibly could have even dropped to a pick worth between 20-25

Disagree. Riewoldt and Hughes are still very young and can't be expected to contribute too much, as would certainly be the case for any new player we draft. Given we will also no doubt be without Kingsley, it leaves us very shallow and any injuries would hit hard. Similar situation at the back given no Gaspar and most likely no Hall and Schulz at least provides cover there.

weather they are kpp mids hbf or fp if they arent up to standard you get rid of them. we do indeed need kpp but why would you hang onto one who cant cut the mustard.
