can't argue with that tim. i'm a big fan of super elegant - not a great one but so reliable. will have something on him for sure.

can't see dance hero getting beat either.

other likely bets for me are confectioner (caulfield r6) and st basil at eagle farm.

i'll be heading out to caulfield on saturday - got to love this time of year when the good ones return.

Super Elegant - Dance Hero double @ $2.90 looks like the one for me. Psychologically I want to see that magical 3 there, but I doubt I will.

If Vocabulary is wound up she is way above average.
Didnt she win 1st up at the Valley last prep?

Yeah I think she was 1st up I was there, The Carlyon Stakes.
Ran down Super Elegant about 100 metres out, with Yell also in the field (who disappointed & was also 1st up). Very similar field to tommorrow with the same main chances going around again.

Nickolic rode 3 winners in a row, starting with her & I had a very nice evening backing the 3 on them.

The very wet track would be the concern & not sure what she is aimed at in the Spring. As Seth said though if she is brilliant enough first up to win this. That said the Fav is absolutely flying.

A couple of big upsets:

Dance Hero bolted away at the start, but didn't give her trademark kick in the straight. Overhauled by Charge Forward, who won by an eighth (!) of a nose from Fastnet Rock.

1. Charge Forward
2. Fastnet Rock
3. Dance Hero

Super Elegant never really fired a shot, got trapped four wide at the turn, and never really came into it after that. 9YO La Zagaletta come from behind to score in a photo from Yell and Elvstroem.

1. La Zagaletta
2. Yell
3. Elvstroem

Glad I didn't punt on those two races.

How good was Wildly's run? Hore-lacy trialled The General but didn't trial Wildly but obviously the punters knew something I didn't.

Backed Courtney's Cuddles and Krayzelburg. Sat out of a few as well. Backed Hulavie in the last, but had no idea about Charmview City.
