I reckon we only convert to SC based Keeper leagues if we are all prepared to reduce to a 33 man squad.

Pro's:
  • SC scoring built in, no manual calculating required
  • Able to view game day match progress easily
  • Retain current match day setups - 6 DEF - 5 MID - 1 RUC - 6 FWD + 4/5 EMG
  • Possible 2 extra teams
Con's
  • Need to reduce existing squads by 11
  • No longer a true reflection of AFL club lists
  • Could possibly make the KEY POSITION rule very difficult to manage
What does the group think about the idea of reduced squads, which as I said earlier could facilitate extra teams?

My vote is to retain existing setup wait to see what the UF merge with AFL fantasy looks like, and if that can't work for us, attempt to setup on TooSerious or alternatively run manually via BF.

Do you think we could get a vote on the SC part of this though?

I think we do whatever we can to keep existing structures.

If UF stays open for category leagues then essentially we should be able to just do what we have always done. Name the teams there and add up scores here.
 
Quick update. Will be more thorough over the weekend.

TS template is up and running for SBFFL. At this stage team names and squads can be entered. You will find it under the banner TS Leagues on the TS site. I’ll explain more later on that if you can’t figure it out.

There’s still a chance AFL Fantasy will work for us.

We might still have to trim squads though I can’t remember if you could have squads of 44. I tried it 2 years ago and 40 was ok so hopefully we can push it to 44

Can I see how you’ve laid out your spreadsheet for an offline comp? I’m considering doing the same for another league I run.

I'm hoping it at least means squad size of 44. Not sure what it means for match day team format but that's irrelevant at this stage, we can manage that offline. Just something that tracks squads and a waiver wire would be huge.

We can at least setup our league on TS for now, with the season only 6 weeks away we need a platform for now.

1. When you open the TS page, create a login (far right hand side of banner)

The Banner across the top lists shortcuts to certain areas of the site:

Stats - Dreamteam/AFL Fantasy/Supercoach data for all players
Blog - Used a little infrequently, it essentially brings certain forum posts to the front page
Ticker - (Not exactly sure what this is hahaha)
My team - You can add all of your fantasy teams here in one spot
Forums - Used alot, all leagues have their own forum pages here
Draft tools - Not working I think
Members - Lists site members
Donate - Can donate to the sites owner
Chat - Seldom used chat link
TS Leagues - This is where you enter teams each week.

2. Click TS Leagues (you will see other leagues here such as ORFFA, ORFFL etc....SBFFL is on the far right.
3. Click the SBFFL tab
4. You will see Canoneyes and Carringbush already listed.
  • Click add a new team
  • Enter Team name, short name (3 letters) & your username
5. Once successfully created, you will see ADD a Player where you can add all 44 players to that squad.

** Matchday lineups still waiting to be organized, will update soon, owner has stated our current lineup is fine.
** I am unsure about double captain scores
** Waiver wire will be manual
** A fixture can be created & then uploaded to the site for our season.

** Each week on Sunday night, the site rolls over with all SC data being updated including
match results for all leagues, all SC stats and each leagues ladder.

I'm in TS. I can't see where to "add a new team"

Yep I've got an account. Created one a couple years ago by the looks.

Logged in but no option to add team.

I have added all teams now into the TS Leagues tab on TS.

Once you have created a TS account, please let me know your username so that I can attach it to
your team - once done only you (and admins) will have the ability to make any adjustments to that team.
Once your username is attached you will have the ability to then add all of your players to your squad.

Lets get this sorted whilst we wait for the match day set up to be coded.....
