Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

I agree mate. It seems like he doesn't really know what he is doing. But don't tell him that he might sue you for libel.

And thats why you have Franklin in your team for.

Who doesn't know what they are on about again? :o

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

Tapscott is out for atleast a few more months. Went down with a hip injury before the NAB cup even started. Shame on you :p
Thats what I get for not looking at my team for a month until the day before lockout...:p

I'm not sure whether to waste a trade on a bench player, there doesnt seem to be many other alternatives for forward rookies anyway besides Gumbleton.

Duncan or Peterson...

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Rumours on the Adelaide board I believe.

Glad he's going from my team.

J.Brown will be a welcome addition. :thumbsu:

Gees how many people are brave enough to say they got suck3d in by the Tippet/Lobbe combo? LOL! :p

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Its not worth trading goodwin out with a niggle with silvagni to cover if he doesnt play???

thats why im still a bit hesitant to trade him off...my 3rd 4th rucks are grimley and lobbe both of which are unlikely to play much footy.

if sandi or kruzer getss injured for a couple of weeks then i would not be able to sub in the 3rd/4th rucks so i need to keep tippett for a little while longer...

Yep im one of those poor buggers:o
that extra 23k would have come in handy to.....

Guilty. Though I'm averaging 2300+ which isn't bad.

I don't want to trade... and having Brown in my ''original'' side burns!!

I could do a direct swap;
Tippett -> Franklin

But Franklin can hurt you just as bad really.

Or I could;
- Hunt/Kennelly -> Silvagni
- Tippett -> Brown

Same sort of double everyone else is considering I guess. Was backing on Brown starting slowly, especially with a new key forward (Fev).

Tippett is my only concern, so burning two trades early might not be so bad. I have Hall, but at his price I'm happy to leave him as he will improve.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Call me stupid but I made these trades:
Clark>Seaby
Hall>Dangerfield.

Clark isn't going to be getting 100+'s so i feel this was a good trade.
I should have had Danger over Hall from the start so that cost me a trade, but freed me up 25k to play with in the process.

Cash will be used to upgrade Masten to Judd.

Should have got Warnock as your 3rd bench ruck mate. :thumbsu:

He will score you 30's-50's which is better than a dounut! :D

dont see y u dont get seaby if hes still resonably priced he looks like the ruck to get

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

MPP is probably the only reason i'm keeping Tippett at the moment..and the hope that he'll get going sooner or later. With Lobbe/McCauley bench and Hille as my 2nd ruck it's too much of a risk not keeping him around. Even if i was to bring in Sandi i'd still have to keep him..Sandi only ever playing one full season and missing 4 games or more 5 times. He really is causing me headaches but im gonna hold onto him for a few more weeks. Trading him is bloody tempting though..

You are stupid... you have just made 2 trades based on just two rounds..first clark is a premium ruckman and seaby is not... which means you ll have to waste another trade to get a prem ruck later on...

hall to dangerfield is a sideways trade, a wate of another trade...both could under and out perform in any specific day...

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Ill admit it, i was one of the people marketing the Tippett/Lobbe combo. Ill admit i got it wrong - way wrong. . . So, i now need advice on how to dispose of the junk.

To get Tippett to Brown i need $99,500. I have L.Ball (457,100) in my team and was considering swaping him for St. Kilda's Peake (353,100) which would give me enough.

Im averaging 2200 at the moment but my forwards are letting me down. Harvey is another i would consider dropping, which would give me 2 new forwards, but who to pick? Any help would be great guys.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

i think my main problem more than tippett is my mid bench with a 3 rookie midfield...

JKT and banner...jkt already dropped and bannner looking likely...i need those cash cows to upgrade martin and bastinac...

providing barlow is a keeper

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Close to trading

Ball => Dangerfeild (mid)
Hall => Brown

What do people think???

And for those who have already made trades this round...watch out as those players you traded in will all do a hammy during training ;)

Sorry mate these are not great trades in my opinion.
You've gone -
Out: Boomer, Pav, Jolly, Martin
In: Brown, Murphy, Judd, Hille

You've used 4 trades to have the same amount or one less premium. Hille and Murphy have durability issues and you haven't given Martin enough time to make money. Each to their own but I honestly don't think you're making the most of your trades.

EDIT: same or one less premium :D

harvery will defintly bounce back..even he admitted he had played the worst game of his career, he got 110 the week b4.

even riewoldt is capable of the occasional shockers but you wudnt consider trading him , so why get rid of a champion like harvey?

i would get dangerfield before peake..

My trades weren't based on two rounds. I will go through each player to
get my thoughts out.

Clark won't be averaging 100 this year, because
He has to compete with Leunberger
He doesn't do enough around the stoppages
He has to compete with Fev and Brownie up forward.

Seaby is cheap.
I expect him to hit 400k this year
He plays for Sydney, so is suited to their playing style, and will outperform other ruckmen.

Dangerfield is playing in the midfield
Midfielders tend to score more than forwards
Dangerfield has racked up the possesions every pre season game.
His efficiency is my only concern, but he will improve.

Hall needs bags of goals to score 100's.
Because of Hall's impact in the Nab cup/Pre season teams are double teaming him.
I don't feel he's going to be kicking 5 every game.

Just dotting down some lines to get my thoughts down.
I'm going for overall anyway so i don't mind burning some trades.http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&s...mJGlBQ&usg=AFQjCNF9uqU1LY4pzdL3hpPPRaC-RSEeFw

Definately, i don't really like getting rid of Ball. Are there any other areas of your team that needs improving? But still good trades.
