Was trawling through the threads and was having trouble remembering who is to blame for our current predicament.
So I thought it best if we put all of our scapegoats in the one thread.

Is it Petrie? Or is it Scott? Was it Thompson, surely not? Is it Ziebell cracking the shittz or was it LT with the yips? Goldstein and Currie not much chop. Luckily Jacobs will probably flop.
Daw and Black copping some flak a few have mentioned Bastinac.

I do apologise if I've missed anyone, but feel free to add them to the list. I think from a strategic sense this will make it a lot easier.

And also always remember ........

They are a team, so I agree it's not only about individuals. One easy way to avoid being a scapegoat is for individuals to do everything within their power to ensure that they leave nothing on the field. If every player can look their teammates in the eye and themselves in a mirror and honestly say that's the case then good on them. I would suggest there are a bare handful in our team at best that could say that at the moment.

I see what you've done Naturally North
But if we win a few more we may finish fourth
Scapegoats are very thick on the ground
We get a new one after every round
Goldy, Basti, Dish and Brad Scott,
Bugger it mate...let's blame the lot

Don't forget Swallow and his Achilles heel a tad harsh some may feel.
Never forget the worst on the list, but yes my friend you got the gist.

Players just need to be able to make sure their minimum level of contribution doesn't make them a liability to the team, we have a lot of players who's good is good but who's bad is terrible.

People sink the boot into Goldy, but he very rarely gets his pants pulled down utterly, he usually gives our mids a fighting chance to win a clearance and that is his primary responsibility. Swallow before his injury was another who competed ferociously no matter how bad the team is going.

We just have too many players who when they are terrible it is almost like playing one short. When multiple players are basically invisible well, winning is not really possible. Players just need to be able to lift their minimum standard to the point they can half contests, for mids that is to tackle and stop the opposition getting too much of the ball. For a defender it is being able to put body pressure on forwards even if they are struggling to spoil, push their opponent to their non-preferred side. For forwards the defensive pressure needs to be there, to provide contests and make sure the defenders never take uncontested marks in the forward 50.

We just have so many players who can't provide a contest when off the boil.

Wayne was on Talking Footy and said it was all down to Daw
But I think we'll be fine when the fixture is replaced with a draw.

Drew was poo and Spud was a dud. At least Ryan was tryin' when he finally got a run.

Black played like a hack and Daw's so raw. What the hell, I might start following the VFL.

C'mon Brad, FFS do something rad.

With apologies to all primary school poets.

The ego strokers of the selected best 22 each week is at fault.

So many words, so few rhymes.

Your views wouldn't be very interesting as apparently you think it's no ones fault.

Don't worry about this small halt as naturally north thinks it's no ones fault !!!!

We win and we're a champion team
We lose and to all we're crap again
Opinions why swing near and far
Do we just need a midfield star?
A forward who can take a mark?
A backman kicking the length of the park?
The North Board answers questions all
But the right solution? The posters will brawl......

From the opening of "The Cat in the Hat".............

The sun it did shine
Still it was too wet too play
So with the roof open we watched
All that cold cold wet day

I sat there with my kid
We sat there we two
And I said "How I wish
We'd kick another goal or two"

Too wet to run out
Too cold to play ball
So we sat there and watched
Those bloody Cats win it all.
