GEELONG fullback Matthew Scarlett will miss the next two AFL matches after submitting an early guilty plea for striking Kangaroo forward Leigh Harding.
Had Scarlett decided to contest the charge at the tribunal tonight, he risked being handed a three-week suspension if it was upheld.
He will now miss Saturday's home game with Hawthorn and the eagerly-awaited round-four encounter with the Western Bulldogs.
Geelong defender Will Slade has accepted a $900 fine for wrestling Harding during Saturday's match at Skilled Stadium.

But Geelong skipper Steven King has decided to contest a charge of wrestling Kangaroo utility Shannon Grant.
