Schneider for our second rounder was just reported by CH 10 as a strong possibility. Personnally I would love to see this.

OH MY F***ING GOD. No, no, no...I haven't seen the paperwork yet...so it can't be true yet...I still can't believe we'd get this deal done. Could this be our club finally recruiting a pacy, goal-kicking flanker? I can't believe it myself...

I'm not taking it as a done deal until the paper work is lodged and there's a story on the St Kilda website confirming it's official.

If true it will be a great bit of business. He's exactly the kind of player we need.

I'd say he wouldn't have agreed to move if that was the case. No-one forced him to agree to the trade.
 
Great trade for the Saints if this goes through, well done to you. Lyon would have seen a lot of Schneider at Sydney, it will be interesting to see what his intentions are for using him at St Kilda.
 
Apparently channel 9 have reported that Leigh Fisher is in Sydney having a medical and that he could be heading to Sydney in a straight swap for Schneider.

It would be sad to lose Fish. He always give 100% and is a solid and dependable defender but at the end of the day we badly need more speed through the midfield and a goal kicking midfielder/half forward. I'd be happy for this deal to go ahead.

Being a lifelong Saints supporter I'm not sure if Grimlock would approve though. ;)

I want the Fisher of the Sam variety :(

Not sure what we're going to do with another mid-sized utility. KPs and speedy mids should be what we're after.
 
I'd go friggen bonkers with even more joy if we traded Leigh Fisher for Adam Schneider.

Ironic that their most memorable games for their respective clubs have come against one another...

Schneider's last quarter blitz in 2005 effectively puts the Swans in a GF, whilst the decision to throw Leigh Fisher into the midfield against Sydney in 2006 at the SCG led Lenny Hayes, who was injured at the time, to say he was capable of being another Luke Ball.

However, I don't rate Fisher that highly...much, much prefer Schneider, and if that's the swap, that's even better than pick 26.

With Goddard, Gram, R Clarke, S Fisher, Ferguson and Gilbert all mid-sized running defenders, I don't think we're short-stocked in that department.

Haha. Sam isn't for sale.

So channel 9 have reported that Leigh Fisher is involved and SEN and Channel 10 have both said it will be Schneider for a second round pick.

We'll know tomorrow I suppose.
 
Just what we need, a midfielder/wing/half forward that can kick goals and one of my favourite players outside st Kilda. 2nd rounder is all I'd give up for him and would be a bargain.
