Actually we do not need him to get lots of possies but we need him to be much harder at the ball. He is an embarrassment in the centre square. Come on Scott stop being so soft and show more leadership for goodness sake.

We just need him to play his new role as behind the ball, HB general...like Hodge when he went to Brisbane.

His time as midfield dominator is done, we need guys like Lip, Daicosx2, Maynard, to come on and support Adams and DeGoey in the middle.

Pendles still a class above many at AFL level, will show glimpses of his magic but he shouldnt be doing the heavy lifting anymore.

I think it's the way to go. Move Crisp back to where he belongs down back. JDG will likely have to spend more time up forward to with Elliott seemingly done for a long time.

Between Howe, Maynard, IQ, Daicos, Crisp, Noble I think we are really ok down back and not sure Pendles really adds anything to it, might even upset the balance.

Definitely agree with JDG more forward, Elliot is a big loss. Wouldn't even mind Sidey back in the centre square more often.

He’s a champion. It’s normal to be respectful of those.

He’s still our cleanest and most creative player at 34. Sure, he should have gone harder in one contest in particular last night, but he is a club champion still producing high quality output for the side… “protected species” is just a typically emotional label thrown around this depressing forum.

We all know he has lost half a yard but he was never dependent on his speed anyway.

He's done the hard yards and given IMMACULATE service to the club for his entire career.

May well play 400 games. There is no obvious captain in waiting. Burgoyne played until he was 39, no reason Pendlebury can’t do the same.

I think it’s as much about opening up midfield opportunity for others. Pendles on a wing pushes Josh Daicos to HF. Pendles in the square takes rotations now going to JDG and Lipinski.

Short term pain, long term gain.
