I've said it before, but it's worth repeating.... what Pendles offers on-field go far beyond his actual stats. Yes, he adds value here - he'd still be welcome at other clubs, even now - but it's his on-field coaching, strategic vision and mentoring that adds the real value. The fact that he can still sell candy like he did against the Demons is just cream!!

Pendles is obviously not a utility but sometimes we forget just how many positions he can play effectively as a rest from the inside mid duties (he played most of 2022 as a half-back flanker to great success and once moved back to his traditonal inside mid role he starred , he has played some time effectively as a half forward flanker too and as a wing at times we saw last year

Terrible - that dog has been in Pendles' life for almost as long as Collingwood has. Hope his kids are ok
