After watching playing his second game I was perplexed , turned to my mate and said "this bloke plays like a Matrix" an example can be 2 rows and 3 columns in algebra , the great number 10 has similar movements, draws oppo players in to where he wants them to be , then glide by them with majestic movements. Simply the best .Watching the last quarter now and literally laughing every time he gets the ball. Just owning the corridor lol
it should be a public holiday

Good to see you have rediscovered your joie de vivreThat was one of the most enjoyable things I’ve seen, watching him get possession after possession. Then his goal.
What an incredible thing we have all been able to witness. He’s not the fastest, he’s not the most skilled, but he has a je ne sais quoi that has to put him in the discussion of being one of the greatest our game has seen.
Not sure if it’s been mentioned but also has the most Anzac Day medals, knocking Hird off equal top spot.
Exactly my pointAny day you erase Hird’s name from the record books is a good day.
Spot on with the calculation. Thanks for posting that PonsfordMagpie.
Averaging 29.63 disposals per ANZAC Day game if I’ve done my maths correctly.
The club will give him an extension if he asks for one.I wonder if Pendles keeps his form and body together in the back half of the season he'll want to / be offered a 1 year extension
I remember it pissed me off whenever Hird used to be referred to as 'Mr. Anzac' due to his three medals. I'm so glad Pendles took the record off him.Any day you erase Hird’s name from the record books is a good day.
Wrong. If it happens against WC, it’s a massive relative increase in attendance and viewers.
Kudos to those at the "G" on ANZAC day - the chants of Pendlebury and Pendles though that last quarter and prior to the announcement of the medal was the cream on the cake for his performance - I'm certain that those moments with the chant ringing around the "G" will be one of his fondest memories (although I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't acknowledge it, such is his humility.Just when we thought it wasn't possible to love him any more than we already do, he comes out and does that.
It has been a privilege to be able to watch his entire career, and he's not finished yet.
After Nick's heroics last week, Pendles reminded everyone why he is The GOAT, and will be for some time yet.
I had Buckley ahead of him 24 months ago, that's no longer the case.Surely there can't be any argument any more about being the greatest Pie of all time.
