Watching the last quarter now and literally laughing every time he gets the ball. Just owning the corridor lol
After watching playing his second game I was perplexed , turned to my mate and said "this bloke plays like a Matrix" an example can be 2 rows and 3 columns in algebra , the great number 10 has similar movements, draws oppo players in to where he wants them to be , then glide by them with majestic movements. Simply the best .

That was one of the most enjoyable things I’ve seen, watching him get possession after possession. Then his goal.

What an incredible thing we have all been able to witness. He’s not the fastest, he’s not the most skilled, but he has a je ne sais quoi that has to put him in the discussion of being one of the greatest our game has seen.
Good to see you have rediscovered your joie de vivre :yum:

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but also has the most Anzac Day medals, knocking Hird off equal top spot.

Any day you erase Hird’s name from the record books is a good day.

Only Peter Daicos has ever come close to my love for Pendles but I am on the record for having said that he should have retired rather than risk an embarrassing decline by staying too long.

I was completely wrong and apologise unreservedly.

Pendles is the LeBron James of the AFL. What a legend. An all-time great.

Pendles on Anzac Day.

2011 = 34 disposals, 3 goals (Anzac Day Medallist)
2012 = 34 disposals
2013 = 29 disposals, 2 goals
2014 = 30 disposals
2015 = 30 disposals, 1 goal
2016 = 35 disposals
2017 = 20 disposals
2018 = 27 disposals
2019 = 38 disposals (Anzac Day Medallist)
2021 = 30 disposals
2022 = 25 disposals

Ridiculous longevity.

I wonder if Pendles keeps his form and body together in the back half of the season he'll want to / be offered a 1 year extension
The club will give him an extension if he asks for one.

But he won’t ask for one if he thinks he will be holding the club back. His form in the back half of the year will determine whether he feels like he wants to do it again and whether he’s prepared to take the risk that it goes pear shaped

Wrong. If it happens against WC, it’s a massive relative increase in attendance and viewers.

Yeah, I don’t understand people wanting it to be the Geelong game.

Collingwood v Geelong is going to get 70-80,000 anyway and it’s a Cats home game so will be 50/50 crowd.

Plays West Coast and a 50,000 crowd potentially turns into 80,000 and it’s 100% Collingwood.

Plus it’s our next chance to actually win a game!

Just when we thought it wasn't possible to love him any more than we already do, he comes out and does that.

It has been a privilege to be able to watch his entire career, and he's not finished yet.

After Nick's heroics last week, Pendles reminded everyone why he is The GOAT, and will be for some time yet.
Kudos to those at the "G" on ANZAC day - the chants of Pendlebury and Pendles though that last quarter and prior to the announcement of the medal was the cream on the cake for his performance - I'm certain that those moments with the chant ringing around the "G" will be one of his fondest memories (although I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't acknowledge it, such is his humility.
