Scott Thompsons contract status

Just wondering if he is out of contract at seasons end?

I can't find a single mention of his contract status anywhere on the internet. The main focus of Crow contract discussion has always been length offered to 30+ year olds, players of all ages we as viewers and punters feel don't deserve new ones, and more recently players coming out of contract who look likely to ask for a move home to Queensland and the GCFC.

Thompson has never been in those categories.

Why do you ask?

If his manager's got any brains (not really a given) he'd be coming out of contract in 2010, perfect to take advantage of the GC and up his price a little!

In the sticky thread with links to important threads, there is a thread about contracts, but it hasn't been updated in a while. It showed Thompson coming out of contract at the end of last year so presumably it was redone then and it would have been for at least two years (and probably exactly two years for the reasons already mentioned).

i thought he came home due to home sickness.. then again.. scott welsh..

I fail to see how he would leave anyway. He's already "come home", the number one midfielder at the club, is already on good money, with the departure of Goodwin, McLeod and Edwards will be on even better money, and will be central in a team that will be a serious flag contender in 2010/11/12/13.

Money. Flags. Popularity. The only thing missing would be a captaincy.
