As it's the last H@A game of the S40 season I thought it would be a good time to have one last chat with the Dragons captain Pie 4 Life and the Wonders captain AnUltimateRessie to see what they think about their opposition and reflect on the game ahead. Seems AnUltimateRessie is too busy to take my call so we shall just chat instead with the Dragons captain Pie 4 Life.
CHATTING WITH DRAGONS CAPTAIN PIE 4 LIFE..........
Tigerturbulance: How have the Dragons prepared for the Wonders and what have you emphasized in practice this week?
Pie 4 Life: Well usually our week begins with a nice drink at Dundees, follow up by some light stretching, and maybe even kicking a football every now and again. We don't want to give away too many secrets as there is a chance we come up against them in finals!
Tigerturbulance: What do you see as the Wonders biggest strengths coming into this game, and what areas are you focused on improving?
Pie 4 Life: We see the Wonders as an experienced group of **** talkers who will always tell you about their achievements. It must be tough for ClarkeM to only have the second biggest ego in the group considering if okeydoke7 ego was edible, world hunger would have been solved years ago. Oh this was meant to be strengths, well they have some veteran players and we're probably one of the few teams that can match them in that area. We are looking to improve our overall posting because on-field we've gone quite well this season.
Tigerturbulance: Are there any Dragon players who have stepped up in practice this week or who you expect to have a big impact on the game?
Pie 4 Life: I have really liked the return of A Swallow this season. He's been absent for a little while and good on him, everyone needs a break. As a whole we've had a few players pop up and return this season, but always hope to have more.
Tigerturbulance: What are your initial thoughts on the Wonders?
Pie 4 Life: They're a team that is always thereabouts and looked like a juggernaut of the future after Season 21, but their cabinet could do with a good dust out of late. They're a team we always enjoy beating mainly because you'll rarely hear the end of it if you don't!
Tigerturbulance: Your both sitting neck and neck on the ladder with little to seperate you, where do you think you can gain an advantage against the Wonders?
Pie 4 Life: I think we can gain an advantage at the team selection table because well Clarkey's attempted mutiny failed and now Pamcake1 is making about two dozen changes at the time of this interview. Further more we have the intention of convincing them it is a grand final but then we have to explain what one of those is (we'll erase the fact they made it in S35 because it doesn't fit the narrative!). We also think we can match up well in several key areas.
Tigerturbulance: How do you plan to attack their defense/offense and what are the most important elements of your game plan?
Pie 4 Life: Well the hope is that it doesn't get down to our full-back line because * hang on I'm being handed a note by serial_thrilla * ... it could be uh very embarrassing for them! We have a great ruck in Strigoi and our midfield is very strong, while PhenomenalV1 has lived up to his name at full-forward. Essentially keeping it anywhere but deep in defence is very good for us!
Tigerturbulance: What does a win in this game mean for then Dragon S40 season?
Pie 4 Life: Well we've already made finals, but a double chance would be nice. Though let's be honest the damn sim does whatever it wants and you can win from eighth, so you can be out in straight sets, win four from last spot in the eight, who bloody knows. Just want to win though because then it means we can enjoy the bragging rights.
