Pretty much as expected, though I thought Roachie might have been given a spell to get some game time at Coburg. Maybe they kept him in as his pace might be handy against Port. Also, looking at the emergencies there is probably only Pettifer that could come in instead.

Anyone seen how Morrison is going at Coburg? Looks like Schulz may have gone ahead of him now.

Hardwick is emergency.
Wanganeen didn't train fully last night so there would still be some doubt over him. P.Burgoyne suffered a corked hip last week but will probably come up.

I reckon we're a big chance to win our share of ball in the middle.

Stafford, Campbell, Krak'r, Johnno,
v
Lade, James, P.Burgoyne and Wilson

Which means we have a good chance of winning this one
Richo v Wakelin.

if our other forwards make sure richo gets enough space then we are a chance.

Good to see presure being applied for spots in the team, Zantuck, Blumfield and Rodan should all be trying very hard to break into the lineup.

Good to see Campbo and Flemming back in. I think last week we really missed our Captain in the half-back line, although Bowden did a surprisingly good job filling in for his role. Hopefully we can ride the bumps in the next few weeks with a couple of wins then get Coughlan back in the team and we're looking good (on paper at least).

I'm also surprised at how well Razor's been going down at full back, and good to see Gaspar slowly getting better. The Port defenders are gonna be all over Richo this week. As mentioned, we need to give him a lot of space to lead, but we'll also need some other forwards to stand up and kick a couple, like Schulz, as well as players like Tivers and Brown to kick a few on the run. In other words we need a Plan B to back up Richo and Browny if they get smothered. They can't win it off their boots for us every week.

This is how i would line up the richmond team

Forwards: F: Brogan, S.Burgoyne, Ebert
Backs: R.Hilton D. Gaspar A.Kellaway

Half Forwards: Schofield, Tredrea, Dew
Half Backs: J. Bowden R.Hall C. Newman

Centre: Cassisi, James, K.Cornes
Centre: M. Chaffey W. Campbell T. Fleming

Half Backs: Cochrane, C.Cornes, Poulton
Half Forwards: G. Tivendale B. Ottens A.Fiora

Backs: Hardwick, Wakelin, Bishop
Forwards: N. Brown M. Richardson J. Schulz

Followers: G. Stafford, K. Johnson, A. Krakouer
Followers: Lade, Wilson, Burgoyne

Interchange: C. Hyde, T. Roach, B. Hartigan, S. Fletcher
Interchange: Mahoney, Salopek, Thurstans, White

Gaspar too slow at the moment for burgoyne. cornes will probably get first go at richo although wakelin wouldnt surprise. cornes would be too small on ottens. Wilson will take brown. williams says hardwick will not play much more that half a game.

Dont expect the back line set up like that from Choco. He wont let the prospective forwards of our team match on players clearly faster than the backs. They will need alot of help from the midfield if they do. Hardwick does 100 in about 20 seconds by the looks of it these days. Brownie will have a party if softdick plays on him. If port sticks with this, they will lose.

weather is glorious here. lots of sunshine no heavy cloud, just some light wispy ones. a bit of a breeze so you might be right wrenny about the wind.

Thanks for that champ, but after 17,000 odd posts one would think you would know a lil more about Football.

No further response required.

I can't think of a rationale for Richmond losing this one that a Tigers supporter wouldn't be ashamed of. Maybe you can help me out?

OK you sucked me in.

I think it's the best chance we have had to beat Port away for quite a long time.. In fact the best chance to beat them anywhere full stop.

Our head to head record is Port 7 Rich 2, and we've never beaten you guys in SA.

You've beaten us on the last 5 occasions and usually around 5 goals. seems we stay with you guys but are never a threat to win.

Our confidence is up, and you guys are ravaged by injury, but you're also coming of a hiding, I expect some anger from port.

I didnt think this needed explaining, but I concede it's our best shot in a long long time.

On the other hand, If YOU guys lose this, what does that say about Port in '04?

Dunno. I think `That We Suck' is probably a couple of weeks/returning players away. We certainly are carrying a lot of players that we cannot replace at the minute.

However this is close to the best Richmond lineup you've ever put against us, and this is probably our worst lineup since 2000 (finished 14th). All the ingredients are there for a big Tigers win....Richo in form, Gasper uninjured, Ottens uninjured, Campbell and Johnson clearing, a half back line with rebound and Nathan Brown doing what he wants...how much better does it get?

As for the head-to-head record, I'm pretty sure we've only played you over there twice or three times.

But if there earlier stuff is just as good, i better get my ass down to the Tunes shop!

Bloody oath yes. Obviously its had less fancy producing, being a debut album and all, but its right up there...probably Bellamy's voice sounds better too.

I feel shame that I didnt discover them until around 12 months ago, when I first heard Stockholm Syndrome. I was like WOW... hadn't been hit by a song like that since Cherub Rock back in 92.

(by coincidence Im actually listening to Siamese dream right now.. up to Geek USA:D )
