Port have basically come out and admitted they'll "play hard" (I take that as they'll snipe again...)

Considering the only thing Tex had against him was putting on that little bit of extra weight, anyone concerned about our lack of enforcer? Kurt will be able to do it soon with his size and strength, but for the momment...?

Have Roo glare at port from the sidelines? :o

Ivan, Truck, Bocky, Kurt, Knights, Thommo.

Throw Edwards into the mix.

I think if they targetted Walker, our Senior players would fire up big time.

If they have a go at Edwards or someone similar, there would be a bit of to and fro, but I think most of the Crows would think he could look after himself. If they went after Walker, I'd expect everyone to protect him.

It irks me that one of the reasons against playing Walker is a perceived lack of consistency at SANFL level, and the fact that he kicked 4 goals in a quarter but 'only' 5 goals for the game has been cited as an example.

How ridiculous. A forward who kicks 5 goals from 7 kicks probably only has hold of the footy for maybe 60 seconds of a 120 minute game. That is the nature of the position. Who cares if those brief moments where he has the ball are spread out evenly across the 120 minutes or confined to one quarter? The result is exactly the same and that is all that counts.

Would he have had a better game if he had kicked 1, 2, 1 & 1 goals across the four quarters? How? Or does he need to kick 16 goals in a game to show that he's consistent? "Now Tex, what you did in the second quarter last week was too good. We need you to play much worse than that before you get a game. It made your other quarters look bad."

Walker won't be taking any backward steps.

Debuting for the Crows in a showdown, and nutting Brogan on that chin.

He's living the dream.

I'm expecting a massive brawl during the game, I'm pretty sure it will happen especially if the filth target Walker and Hentschel (if he plays) which will cause players to fly onto each other, and probably a lot of fines flying around as well. But if Walker is getting targeted, i'd feel relieved if his teammates stick up for him, now that would be teamwork.

I wouldn't mind seeing a brawl!

Brogan pushing Walker and sticks his massive jaw out and points at it saying "c'mon". Walker then knocks the crap out of him, Tredrea goes to get involved but Rutten meerly looks in his direction and Tredrea leaves the ground, found after the match in the corner of their rooms crying.

Thomas has a go at Hentschel and Rowdy gives him a spin kick to the face.

Both Walker and Rowdy are pardoned by the tribunal due to them ridding the AFL of 2 of the smelliest skid marks of society.

PS...Bock directed traffic in the fight and caused several port twigs..Pearce/Westhoff to shit a brick.

I reckon Walker will get the rising star nomination :D

If he kicks 3 goals in a low scoring game i am pretty sure of it, but its not that smart to be thinking of a debutant to play a match winning game. I think he is big enough to not get hurt by the filth in teal's influence with their "tough" style.

Clearly worth an entirely new thread.

Hey, I'm putting my balls on the line here man! I'm staking my prestigious reputation on this prediction! If this is wrong I will be ridiculed and tormented! Can't you appreciate the magnitude of this??

McLeod set for attacking role
ANDREW CAPEL
July 17, 2008 12:50pm
ANDREW McLeod looks set to give the Crows' spluttering attack a shot of adrenaline in Sunday's showdown, after training strongly today.

McLeod, recovering from minor surgery, completed the Crows training session today and moved well, despite a bandaged knee.

He was mainly used in forward line drills, suggesting he will line up in front of centre. This will enable him to draw his customary tagger, Kane Cornes, out of general play.

The structure of drills at Crows training seemed to suggest that Ken McGregor and Luke Jericho are in the box seat for roles in Adelaide's forward line, rather than untried Taylor Walker and recruit Brad Moran.

looks like tex will miss out
