Preview Semi Final Knockout - Carn the Eagles!

So our next opponent will be one of Essendon or Carlton! Do we have what it takes to knock either one of these sides out and head into our first prelim since 06?! My particular worry is Carlton, they have the speed and run that would suit their team greatly. And they have that bastard JUDD. They may even want vengeance? And todays game has left me confused somewhat. We played poorly, but so did Collingwood. How will this reflect in our next match? Will we bow out in straight sets? Will injuries set in? Will Kerr fire?? What are everyones thoughts in general? CAN WE DOOOOOOOOO THIS?!

Collingwood didn't play poor. Did you watch the game

Peddles, Swan 40 touches, Harry O dominate down back.

That's there key strength right there with those three player's and all played brilliant.

They couldn't play any better

We played poor and will do much better on the rebound with Kerr and maybe Rosa back

Only lost by a couple of goals to the pies away. A good result. I'm feeling confident. Over-confident.

I hope more than anything the Eagles haven't walked away after yesterday's loss satisfied with a brave effort and an honourable loss. We're a top 4 side and therefore a serious premiership contender and must play against either Carlton or Essendon with the right attitude.

I love the little subplots that happen in footy, and the one I'm most looking forward to seeing is how Shuey responds to his performance against Collingwood.

West Coast has favourable match up with exploitation points against Carlton and Essendon. In the Preliminary Final against Geelong (assuming West Coast wins at home next week) I can see their pace+run & carry troubling West Coast from their defence.

My main concern is how we pull up after the game.

Against collingwood earlier in the year we pulled up very tired against GC the following week

Yesterday's game was bloody intense the whole game. Compare that against the game last night between Saints and Sydney - didn't strike me as anything more intense than a good H&A game.

Here's hoping Carlton and Essendon have a high intensity game as well - because if one side gets an early run on and it becomes a rout - they'll be a lot fresher the following week - even with 1 day less to recover.

Yep you guys have us covered in the midfield but we are better everywhere else including the ruck. Kerr is a massive in for us obviously but we will have to see if Cox comes up. Will be a great and close game I think. Gonna try to get tickets and can't wait.

4th V 5th so it should be a good game and C Judd will haunt us .

But should we win Geelong could flog us , they are very good and I dont wish to play them at the MCG . Unfortunately there is no way away from those pussies but it would be nice to beat Carlton

Cox doesn't play I think we may struggle , they will gang up on Nata and Glassy has a groin injury but he always plays with injury so will have to wait and see and Hope !

Carlton looked good BUT the bombers did not give much at all, it was a very open game i thought.....pressure was not as high as the other games. Im cocky enough to say give cox a rest if kruzer does not play.

Pies had 140 more possessions.... they just handballed and went short often.

Also, we seemed to focus more on stopping Cloke and Dawes (1 goal each) than trying to stop their mid fielders.
