Anyone loving how much people want us to choke as has been aired the last few weeks on the soapbox?

I am loving it. Seriously, who can be bothered ringing a radio station just to say you want to see a team choke?

i loved it yesterday when that dingbat that was going to wear his t-shirt to our game on sunday rang in and all he could muster up was "up yours geelong"
and "not long untill they go out in stright sets in the finals" so orignal.

I really do have to admit, one of the major reasons why I finally joined to express my view was from exactly this! The SEN soapbox last night. It didn't make me angry at all, if anything I was laughing at these blokes. But it was a little sad to hear so much hatred against a Victorian based club. What has really suprised me though, is at the begining of the year there was a lot of talk about Victorian football being dead and can somebody please step up. Now that it's happened, they can't knock us faster!

Didn't I hear that moron bloke say that we're "A non Victorian, salary cheating club"..

Again more examples of Geelong fans being dammed if we do or dammed if we don't, in regards to keeping a lid on it or sitting back and enjoying it.

Tall poppy syndrome is alive and well in Australia still!

I liked the Geelong fan that rang up and said if we get into the granny we don't want Victorian support, we've done it on our own and if we win you'll never hear the end of it.

But these north fans are starting to become more obsessed then Richmond fans at the time Ottens came over.

At the game on Sunday this bald headed twit of a north fan was walking around to every geelong fan at half time telling them to watch out come September.

I was actually dam angry at all that, was the closest i have come to actually calling in to the show. Schwartz and Leach giggling away everytime somebody rang up to bag Geelong the team, the town, or the supporters, and stirring up the guests by making little snide comments like "40 odd years since"...etc.... WHo are their teams, Melbourne and St.Kilda? Hardly premiership accumulators those 2 teams are they?

Anyone else would have GREAT pleasure in singing the GFC song walking out of the ground after beating collingwood in a final. I think i would do it with tears of laughter.

I was at first shocked and upset with the lactof Victorian support the Cats are getting at the moment.

Then I sat back and took satisfaction in the fear of the opposition supporters targeting the demise of the Cats. I think you can take it from such emotion being directed at the Cats, negative or positive, that our team is finally being rated for a chance.

Take it for what it is worth, not face value.

Yeah all my friends who are not GFC supporters, but support other Vic clubs are all going for us, they see that at least a couple of teams are now firing for the flag and aren't interstaters.

Brings back some real interstate rivalries, great for the sport.

Actually I've had quite a few non-Cats people tell me how much they want us to be successful this year, I suspect we're more popular than the chosen by SEN would leave you to believe.

Having said that I couldn't really care less either way.

I must admit I almost choked on my weeties when I heard the cocky Collingwood bloke - the AFL engineered the easiest draw in the competition AGAIN for them this year and they are still struggling.

Where is the consistency fellas? Its not ok to ring up and have an opinion about a player with a record of cheap shots and thuggery, but feel free to ring up and completely bag a team and their history and their town? As long as its not St.Kilda or Melbourne hey fellas? (By the way, those 2 teams premiership record is right up there with Geelong's...)

Just pointing out a glaring contrast in consecutive shows, hope this actually gets through to you."
