the maggies are looking like big contenders. saw them today and they looked good again

It was a very gutsy win by the W/Magpies considering they lost 2 starting on ballers & CHB midway through the 2nd quarter (Rozynski, McClennan and McDonnell) and only had back up ruckman left on the bench for the rest of the day... Next 4 weeks against Mayne, PBC, Sandgate & Grange will be a big test!!

Big win by Grange away from home against Noosa
Grange were on the money yesterday.

Started like they wanted the contest and finished much the same. There array of taller players were the catalist for the running players to cash in on. Not too hard to win if you are leading to the contest, first in, harder at it and cleaner with the ball in hand.

Not to say Noosa didn't try. But unfortunately turnovers under pressure lead to scoreboard pressure. It was only when the score got mixed up by the scoreboard attendant in the last quarter adding an extra goal to Noosa instead of Grange, that the Noosaboys got some momentum. To Granges' credit they steadied and ground out a well deserved win.

Grange have a head of steam up and should be right in the finals race.

Not too much panic at Noosa yet I wouldn't think. No serious injuries during the game, but plenty to work on this week before PBC. They will get much of the same against PBC and if they cannot adapt to the smaller ground down there they may not hold sway.

Will be a big test for Noosa this week. Personally cant wait, both sides lift an extra gear or two. Given the result of last time they met, there will be plenty of feeling and a game I would strongly suggest all should get along to. Didnt see the boys against Sandgate, but some promising signs from what I've read, and when was the last time Noosa lost two in a row?
Grange have defiantly found there mojo again! Sandgate have two irreplaceable players gone, and not sure what to make of the Surfers Maggies game. Reading both coaches article's I think both are3 on the money! Surfers should have won if Maggies lost those three before half time, Zorko stated if they had kicked straight in the final term would have been the difference? Pretty obvious I would have thought! But anyway a game they really needed to win if they where to stay within reach of top 2.
Looks like Mayne will have Maggies at a really good time if they are without the three lost from the weekend. Steal this one, and puts the heat back on Surfers and Grange.
Shaping up for another dramatic finish with every % crucial.

Despite a very ordinary effort against Burleigh, reckon the Roos could be a small chance against Grange this week if they bring their A game. Have won a few now and gained a bit of confidence. IS a big test for them and will determine whether they are destined to finish bottom 4 or challenge for a finals berth.

If Grange play like they did against Noosa, i would give M'dore no chance! To strong, to slick and to good in the air, looked very impressive to me. Mdore, while having won a few, would need to claim a scalp of someone above them to gain credibility.

Round 11 Tips very hard round to tip....

Burleigh v Springwood
Mayne v W/Magpies
PBC v Noosa
Surfers v Sandgate
W/Grange v Maroochy

Most of these games could go either way

Sandgate?? Lot will come down to personnel available for both sides i reckon. Grange would need to lose a few, the Roos would need to be at near full strength.

same tips for me.
does anyone know when the qld countryteam will be announced.
watched grange vs noosa on weekend and grange dominated most of the game. does it bode well for noosa that they are still close to teams when not playing well???

You must of misread my post smy to remind you "If Grange play like they did against Noosa, i would give M'dore no chance!" If they dont then yes maybe Mdore are a chance in a 2 horse race. Grange best is better than Mdore best! That is all!

The part I read was "Maroochydore would need to claim the scalp of someone above them to gain credibility" - I said Sandgate. :)
No doubt you are right re the form lines of the 2 teams and a couple of important injuries to the Roos this week won't help their chances.

same tips as Tiger.

a couple
what has changed at noosa, or is missing? Or has the comp got better and noosa not recruited well enough.
Onball division is not as strong as last year at Noosa , and the comp is improving.

Worst period for a long time in Noosa for work from my understanding - recruiting only can occur if work comes with it. Not many blokes can survive on $300/game... Despote this they have played a lot of local kids this year it seems with a few more to come - Tickner will play once his 18's duties are out of the way and he will be in their best 18 easily I reckon.

Looks like the Tigers have the upset they wanted. They might not have the cattle in the paddock from previous years but that a bloody great win down there. They seem to have worked out a way yo get under Palmy's skin the last few years. makes for a very interesting race for the finals now. isn't it great to see a comp with no clear cut grand finalists for a change. congratulations to Bova on 100 GAMES TOO.

Spot on Bazza - very open season which is great. And ditto re Bovva - been very good for the Tigers in his time there.

what happened at palm beach on the weekend. from looks of scores match could have gone either way. great to see that top 4-5 can beat each other on their day. just depends on who controls the ball best.
Any news on qld rep team from any club??
