The Warriors. On face value things appear to have taken a turn for the worse for the Warriors this season. But perhaps this was merely a correction to an overperformance in Season 29? Over the last four seasons they have averaged 182 p/w (S27), 160 p/w (S28), 601 p/w (S29) and now 402 p/w (R1-8, S30). And of those 199 posts a week they have lost since last season, half of them can be attributed to retired players Wooshette (67 p/w in S29) and kdavva74 (32 p/w in S29). So not great news for TheInjuryFactory and his LG, but probably not a disaster by any stretch.

They are certainly at the back of the pack for activity though. They've posted 3217 times in match threads over the first eight rounds (12th) with an average of 13.0 posters a week (12th). They produce 41.60% of posts in their match threads (12th) and have a single thread "win" (11th) against the Wonders. They've exceeded 600 posts in a match thread only once (vs. the Bombers).

Despite this, I'd be more concerned about their depth. They are very reliant on their top 5 posters, who contribute 84.08% of their match thread posts (the highest % in the league), and only have nine posters averaging more than 5 (or 10) per week (12th on both counts) plus only six posters averaging more than 20 posts (11th); with one of those being the now-retired kdavva74. More worryingly, even with their low numbers they still only have eight posters with more than 2% of their match thread posts (12th) and five with more than 5% of their match thread posts (11th).

What is painfully clear here is that TIF needs more troops to support the Big Warrior 5 of himself (67.5 p/w), Tonga Bob (102 p/w), NaturalDisaster (78.8 p/w), harry00 (50.3 p/w) and Doctor Colossus (39.5 p/w). They have Dinsdale, BEEG and zackah all chipping in with 10-20 posts each week, but all three are well down on their S29 numbers and there's not much in the shed after that. The disappearance of RelaxMax (36 p/w in S29) and Freofalcon (17 p/w in S29) does not help. The two Warrior rookies chelseacarlton and FootyGuy13 are turning up most weeks, which is promising, but TiF will be wanting a big off-season to keep building his squad. 14 players out of a squad of 26 with less than 10 posts after eight rounds is not a great look.

Yay we beat the wonders.

**** me.

Are people that bored they would actually take time to crunch the numbers on how often and how many people waste their life on an Internet game?

You should have seen the last guy that did this thread.

Yes. And looks like we are losing.
Conversely, perhaps we are just winning at life?

For me it is the way people post that is important. Last season we were involved in 2 or 3 threads that went over 2k.

The first with the Demons highlighted a great blend of wit and to and fro. Because of the historic nature of the match and the hoopla both Clubs created, lots of posters from other teams joined in the fun. There was high quality banter aplenty and for me at least it never felt a chore.

The second with the Wazzes was remarkable for two outstanding sustained contributions from Woosh and Clarkey.

By contrast early this Season we matched off against the Bears and Dragons in large threads. Frankly the quality was very poor with lots of what I saw as spam. I gather both Clubs have settled down and found a more engaging rhythm.

As for the Wonders, sure our numbers are down but we have fun as a mob and as individuals and IMO we are as engaging as we were in the past two seasons. As for 'winning a thread based on numbers', that notion is a pile of steaming absurdity.
I'm gonna get this post tattooed.
