Murphy took 2 big grabs and slotted both calmly in the 2nd half. Didn't look to bad on the lead, drifted in and out.

Gilmore wasn't too bad. Couple of average decisions he made and could have gone in at the ball alot harder, however was damaging on occasions feeding off HBF.

Doswell was average at best. Seemed laconic as laconic could be today. Did some encouraging things though even in the face of that remark before he went off.

Duffield, rarely cited, however did some great passes on the non-preferred. Hit the chest over 50 of a forward on his left comes to mind.

Keep a look out for the name Clint Jones if he keeps his early season form, was definite BOG in my mind today.

Game quality really picked up 2nd half. South looked great when moving the ball quickly and running the lines, however diabolical when stopping the play and at stoppages. Definitely something to work with and happy to get away with a gutsy win. Could be something to jump-start our season!

:D

I read that and had a bit of a smile. Of course the title of the article (although it says Murphy was BOG) was "Gaspar catches eye...".
