Mid Season Update

Despite the media having Maidenhead in relegation contention they sit 3rd in the Vanarama National League table with 11 wins, 6 draws and 5 losses, 4 points behind League leaders Notts County.
They were knocked out in the FA Cup Third Round by Southhampton in a 3-0 defeat, but are still in the English FA Trophy, coming against Slough in the Fifth Round in 5 days.

PMBangers leads the team for goals, with 11 from 24 appearances across all competitions, a greedy campaigner though he has no assists. The next closest is PhenomenalV1 with 6

fitzroybowiedog and TubbsFarquhar lead the team for assists with 5 apiece

Speaking of TubbsFarquhar they've already betrayed us, having a transfer to Toronto organised for 1/1/2022, and he may not be the only one. omgfridge is under bid from multiple MLS clubs, offering more money than Maidenhead can even imagine

End of season 1 (30th May 2021)

Despite losing leading goal scorer PMBangers to Arsenal on a free transfer 1/2/2021, as well as vice-captain croweater 41 to Plymouth and Golumless to QPR on the same day, Maidenhead would go on to finish top of the Vanarama National League table, earning promotion into Sky Bet League 2 for the 21/22 season. It was off the back of a talented bunch of youngsters that this would happen, and naturally they would be looked at by bigger and more cash happy clubs. Lets look at some of the season awards first though shall we?

The clubs top goal scorer would be PhenomenalV1 finishing with 13 in the back of the net, assisted well by TubbsFarquhar who had 12 league assists, equal most in the league (tubbs had 13 in total). First choice keeper eth-dog was a brick wall, with 16 league clean sheets going a long way to get the team promoted.

So now that we know that, lets get some transfer talk happening

TubbsFarquhar (Toronto FC), omgfridge (New England), Genghis Tron (Sporting KC), Van_Dyke (Vancouver) and cats2rise (RB New York) will be moving to the MLS on the 1/1/2022 having future transfers organised, whilst essentially everyone else in the Squad has interest from bigger clubs (listed in next few posts)

Will Maidenhead hang onto their youthful team to push into the higher leagues? or will this golden generation of youth talent head for greener pastures?

Wow, that is some serious MLS flavour.

Which is a nice way of saying, suck s**t, your career is over before it began.

This was supposed to be fun, rather than a reminder of my shortcomings :‘(

We’re holding out for a much better club and we get to stay in England for another year. Win-win :)

Just season stats overview.

Did I play many games or was I mainly a reserve?
ejw S1 stats.PNG
this is your full season stats, I've also got a running google sheets link in the OP that'll have the basics of each season like Appearances, goals and assists

you were a depth player, unfortunately Maidenhead brought in two loanees in defence making it harder for you to break in regularly

RIP.

The mass exodus begins. Interesting to see so many are heading to the MLS.
