Fast Facts

• East Side Hawks and West Coast Wonders became the first two away sides to win their elimination finals in the same season. In all previous seasons where two elimination finals had been played, one home team and one away team had won either final.
• East Side Hawks have won two of the four first semi finals they've contested, including the last two in a row. They actually defeated the Wonders by 59 points in last season's first semi final, 21.18 (144) to 13.7 (85).
• Of the 16 first semi finals played, the away team has won nine of those matches. However, of the last five games, the home side has been victorious in four of those fixtures.
• Roys FFC's total of 14.12 (96) was actually its highest finals score since season 06 where they kicked 17.15 (117) against the Koalas in an elimination final. The Roys won that day by 22 points, Fred conceded 12 free kicks that day, Broken gave away 10 of his own while Koalas player Stoney had 25 kicks and no handballs. Roys player Flea29 was BOG with 27 kicks, 13 tackles and 2.4.
• East Side and West Coast Wonders have met in four previous finals. Both teams have two games each.

PS Braun and Read go long all the time because they cannot hit targets they are shockers and I have watched them play, that is why they both went so late in the draft.

Fast Facts

• Mount Buller Demons have never won a preliminary final, having lost the only previous preliminary final they played in back in Season 04. West Coast Wonders have won four of the six preliminary finals they've played with their most recent win back in Season 12.
• Despite both being foundation clubs, the Demons and Wonders have only ever met twice in a final with the Wonders winning both contests. The Season 01 first semi final saw the Wonders triumph by 44 points, 11.16 (82) to 19.12 (126). In season 12 the Wonders defeated the Demons by 22 points, 14.17 (101) to 11.13 (79). Youngster Frothies Mcveigh was BOG for the Wonders that day with 22 disposals, 10 tackles and a goal. For the Dees, Freakie was their best with 21 touches and a goal also.
• Since Season 14, the Wonders hold a 5-3 lead over the Demons from eight meetings, including three of the last four between the two clubs. However, Mount Buller has won two of the three games played at the Snow Dome in that time.
• The Season 17 preliminary final will be the Demons 14th final overall. The Wonders meanwhile will contest their 34th final.
