Would Div 2 sides allow Parkdale to go straight to Div 1?
How competitive would the top sides from Div 2 be in Div 1?
Could someone from Clayton tell us if they have a stronger or weaker side this year compared to last year as this would give some guage on the gulf between the 2 divisions.
My mail is that SFL will be welcoming both Parkdale and Keysborough to SFL Div 2 next year. Great to have these two local clubs in the fold. I think Div 2 is right. Dingley and Bentleigh both started in Div 2 and it was definately the right fit to start. Div 1 is a big step up from Div 2. The top div 2 clubs in recent years have been Clayton, Heatherton, Springvale Dists, Dingley, Highett and Tooronga Malvern. All will tell you that it is very tough competing against the top div 1 sides.

Yep. Somewhat surprised it has taken anyone so long to notice. You guys are normally all over this stuff! The coach has been chasing them since the start of the year but due to work commitments they couldn't commit at the time. Good additions that will provide some great experience to what is a very young side.

Yer, some good gets there even though they don't fall into your youth policy, will try and get down to the kennel to watch your game and see them strutt their stuff.

Not sure about their availability for this week mate, will know more tomorrow. In regards to the youth policy, you need a sprinkling of experience in there to help younger bodies. We found that out on the weekend, with the Heights being physically bigger and more mature. However when these two play I'd suggest it wont be at the expense of any kids, as we are acutely aware that they are the future.

Well you will have two 35 yrs and 37 yrs so it is not young anymore

So they might be starting the week after the break, making it a big game against East Brighton at Hurlingham Park on the 16th

If thats the case, they would have to play every game to qualify for finals provided they make it.

I would think.

If they play that week, they have 7 games left and they only have to play 6.

Great fillup for the League with those guys coming on board, but really Super the kids are going to get a run before these blokes? Give me a break! Why sign them then? They will be a great addition and makes the game against East Brighton appear to be a cracker!

Hey Super,
Not sure of the specifics but we have the Matt Rojan Day this Saturday at the club.

Ex St Pauls player whose life was cut short due to illness.

I think most of the ex players/supporters rock up around 12ish to watch the two's and get on the gas.

I'm sure there's a feed put on, along with auctions etc.

The more the merrier, so if any Chelt supporters want to make it down to the ground that little bit earlier, it would be much appreciated.

Looking forward to getting one back against your mob in what should be a cracking game.

So what is going on in here, very quite is anyone else going to do there tips or is it just that easy and no one cares ? I'm tipping East Brighton to win by 20 goals now that I know Heatherton have two of there top players out from last week.

Chelsea Heights have trouble with Mordi, I'm tipping they will squeak home but don't be surprised if there is an upset. CH by 18 points.
Chelt have also upset St.Pauls in recent times but I cannot tip against the Doggies. StP by 10 points.
Clayton stretched the Saints last time around but without Szerzyn will struggle to kick a winning score. Saints by 70 points. The Clays will need to get a wriggle on or face demotion again.
Heatherton can still dream of the upset 2 years ago but it won't occur this week. The Vampires are far too accomplished and will trounce them. EB by 100 points+
Dingley should start favourite against the Combine and this one will be a toss up given the Dingoes fickle form. They should be pressing Chelt for a spot in the 5 but let one slip last week. Tipping the young Dingoes to bounce back and win by 30 points

Good write up in the paper about it and all the press the comp can get is good

Well after all the talk on here recently about fathers jumping the fence etc etc, Second half of todays reserves game city v clayton a bit of a scuffle broke out between a few blokes no big deal untill number 10 for city decided to let loose and throw a punch and as if that was'nt bad enough then when it started to get broken up the city runner / trainer or whatever the hell he was decided to run up "behind " a clayton player and snipe him with a punch to side of the head which dropped him to the ground . Seriously people if this scum bag does 'nt get suspended for life then this game is a joke. I really thought this game was heading in the right direction but as long as there is people as weak as pi%% like this bloke getting involved then we are in trouble. I realise that there will be people from city that had no control over his actions but at the end of the day he is a disgrace to your club and the Sfl and the game itself.
I am really interested to see what the reaction is over this.:thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd:
Poor effort

a scuffle you mean a city player was just being attacked with multiple punches to the head as he was trying to play the footy.....if Clayton could learn how to play the footy they might actually win a game but they would rather snipe hit guys when they get rid of the footy and sneak players under the pack....Back to 2nd division the sooner the better

Well you will have two 35 yrs and 37 yrs so it is not young anymore

So they might be starting the week after the break, making it a big game against East Brighton at Hurlingham Park on the 16th

So it does look like this will be a big game with all the stars coming out to take on the young East Brighton side

Well cheers for the cred, but 2 notes there. First is like i said a couple of blokes were having a scuffle , blew whatever you wanna call it standing there face to face. Second point when they get broken up the city runner/ trainer comes in from behind and snipes ????? i noticed bto b you didnt argue the point ...would that be coz you know your bloke has Fu%$*d up big time and deserves his ass kicked from all points.
At the end of the day your runner / trainer should be banned from going anywhere near a game of footy again. !!! DISGRACEFULL.......

I hear that S.Reginier has ticked over 16 match suspension by getting 2 weeks from the SFL this week.

Can anybody confirm if AFL Vic has de-registered him?

He is OK. Spent last night in Monash Hospital under observation. Was released an hour ago and is now home. Obviously a major concussion. He was pretty devastated to find out that we lost after dominating the entire game, but the result is inconsequential compared with his physical wellbeing.
