This guy cannot possibly be dropped after yet another match winning performance.

yeah, well its good that we still have a few comebacks yet to come, but sad that all these guys playing blinders are most likely going to be dropped.

How good is his form.

Just like any player in the league, when he came back his form was a little shakey, but now he is used to the pace again he is showing his class.

Has been such a great player. So much poise and he really breaks up the game on the rebound.

He has been super lately and played on the biggest cherry picker in AFL history today. Every time I see Gehrig play I loose more respect for him.

i understand that playing youth is important but he is still good enough to go with the talls of the league so how could we possibly drop him?

because we have Presti, who is better against topline key forwards.

Lets be realistic here, my grandmother could beat barry Hall at the moment. He was good last week and good again this week, despite his opponent kicking 4.

But when we come up against top sides with a firing key forward, I'd prefer Presti personally.

There's no question on Wakes at the moment, it will be difficult when Presti is back training strongly again though.

Looks like he won't be dropped anyway. Clement on MMM today indicated very strongly that the calf-achilles isn't coming along like hoped and there's talk that he might not play again this season.

Im glad that Wakelin is playing the way he is as he might be there till the end.

I was coming here to make a similar post. At the start of this year it didn't seem like Wakes was going to get too many games, but I bet Collingwood are glad they've still good him (especially last week, when even O'Brien was out).

Gehrig may have kicked 4 this week, but 2 were from frees and 1 was an obvious violation of the hands-in-the-back rule, even if Wakes did dive a bit at the end. It could have been a lot worse.

He's been playing some really good footy imo, and delivering out of the backline well. It'd be sad to see him dropped just because someone more appropriate is available.

We could find a spot for him on the interchange. Who's going to get the boot though? Unfortunately, I don't think we can have Wakelin and Prestigiacomo in the side side, especially since now Harry has grown in leaps and bounds.

aww clemmy.....dammit, oh well, we are doing pretty well without him and presti, MM is right, presti and clement didn't start off their careers being superstar backmen, hopefully our young backs can replace them
