I’ve been going a long time, since about 2016, and i like booing the refs. I also like that when something exciting happens, everyone yells ‘BORE!’ which i think is funny cos its like the opposite, if you know what I mean.

So, Saturday night I was in Sydney after a conference in the Big Smoke. I say to my wife that "I'd love to go to the footy but I can't be bothered watching North get pumped." We leave the AirBnB in Darlinghurst and proceed to get bulletproof on Sydney priced wine and cocktails, all the while I'm watching lots of beautiful people stroll past in red and white scarves, catching their taxis and Ubers after pleasant meals. Funnily enough, I didn't see many people strolling past in red and white scarves after getting out of their Ubers and taxis when the game ended.

I have to admit I chortled when they all started booing for a throw-in being called after consecutive out on the full kicks because the ball never came back into play. Way to perpetuate the stereotype of the ignorant Sydney supporter who doesn't know the rules and yells "forward pass", morons.
