Personally, i think we need another tall in the team for our structure. Because of this I think he needs to come back in. He may lack match fitness but I don't think this is a problem. If he is playing tall, which is likely as Adelaide will try and stretch us, i don't see someone like McKernan or Jacobs running him around (keefe to play tippet) . What do you guys think?

If Tarrant was to play and went down because we rushed him back in we would be is massive trouble for our horror run after the bye. Unless he is 100%, which I doubt he will be I don't think he should come back in.
Harry O seems to lack balance between playing defense and attack. A few years ago he was a gun shutdown defender. I would like to see him play a role next week where he is told to simply shut down his man. Heater and Maxwell can provide the drive from half back.
If we get stretched and lose the game, so be it. 8-3 at the bye is acceptable.

Nope, no way he should play.

If Reid and Brown were playing, we wouldn't even consider playing him this week, and just because they are both out doesn't mean we rush him back.

I'd save him for the Suns match, and maybe even start him up forward in that game to ease him through it.

The last thing we need is another tall back breaking down.

Make him the sub, at least then we should get a big boost in the last quarter as he should dominated whoever his on and it wont test his fitness

No no no. With walker out they only really have Tippett. Back the the defence to work through it. Harry has played on guys like Lucus before so give him the job on there second tall. Let's not take any chances with injuries for the rest of the year.

I'd love to see Taz back in the side but not at the expense of potentially breaking him down.

No need to risk him.

Give him a little more time to find his feet and confidence in his body.

Potentially bring him back in the last game before our bye.

He should then be cherry ripe for the 5 week period after our bye which is going to either make or break our season.

I would have thought he would be an obvious in, given how good Goldsack is playing in the forward line, and the fact that if Tippett tears up Keeffe, there would be no one else to play on him.

No. Two reasons. First reason is he is pretty old and one week in the VFL is not enough and the second reason is we should try and rest our older players when we are going interstate.

Like most posters, I say no to Tarrant playing AFL next week unless he is deemed fit to play.
Watching Adelaide take apart Carlton today, we have more to worry about tha just their talls. Adelaide have won contested possessions every week this year, so if we can beat them at the clearances we won't have to worry about their tall forwards so much. Van Berlo has destroyed Mark Murphy to half time (Murphy off with shoulder injury now) so Pendles is certain to have him as a tag next week. It is going to be a tough game to win, perhaps our toughest this year.

No. I'd give Taz the same approach as we did with Didak. At least 3 games at VFL level.

Considering Taz didn't even play defence, and hardly left the forward 50 it must be saying something about his fitness, and that they are trying to ease him back into it.

Okay, I have turned on this. I was in the 'yes, bring him in camp', but now I am agreeing with most on this board.

Give hm another week (at least) and bring in Macnamara.

Dawes going back for a week is also an option - he certainly isn't giving us a whole heap up front.

Go for mobility this week, Adelaide's forwards don't look like they defend the backline run to any great degree but their midfield coverage is crazy at the moment. So I think it would be to our advantage to try and gain control from the backline.

We have to look at the long term, and if there's any shadow of a doubt then he can't play, we need him when it counts.

I'm quite prepared to be cautious if it means putting us in a better position come the pointy end, others will have to stand up with the loss of important guys. Crows don't have Walker so we might be okay with Keeffe on Tippet. Defenders and mids will have to play super tight because Adelaide are still finding plenty of outlets to goal.

No.

We are really going to struggle to win this one, but the risk to Taz is too great. Hopefully having the longer turnaround will offset the home ground advantage to Adelaide.

Harry O will probably have to go to Walker, or maybe Goldsack goes back. It's a shame Paine is injured because he could have covered for Goldsack.
