Should Worsfold lead you into the future?

It was pretty obvious very early last season - the players WANTED to win for the coach,

For the most part, these were the same playes who quite clearly couldn't give a **** whether or not they won for Judge.

A season and a bit later, it's good to see that the early results were not just based on enthusiasm at Woosha's return - he clearly has what it takes to be an AFL coach.

He has shown he has the smarts, he has the unconditional respect of the players, and he is willing to make the tough decisions when necessary.

I guess the only area of question is the development of new players - he hasn't been there long enough for us to be able to tell. Though kids like Sampi and Judd seem to be heading in the right direction.

Incorrect. The West Coast Board is teh only place he is receiveing a hostile reception. (The single fool on the Hawks board was put back in his box very quickly) Why are many of you so touchy about a reasonable question???

Last year one of the members of this forum said that some of the best "tactical coaches" in the league were out of a job (viz, Rodney Eade and Terry Wallace). Wosha however is a leader of men, and in my opinion these are the best coaches, (and the best managers in the workplace.)

You can always buy "tactical knowledge", like the Tigers have done this year by getting the sacked Carlton coach (I forgot his name) as assistant. But leaders of men are very rare.

At the Eagles we're blessed because we had a great coach and leader in Michael Malthouse for 10 years, and now we have his best apprentice, Wosha, starting on the road to create another great Eagle dinasty.

So, in answer to your question, I believe John Worsfold has a great future at our club.

Good point ! I think you're talking about Brittain. Danny Frawley is a great leader but Brittain may be a better tactical coach. The same with us. Woosha is also a great leader but Micale is probably more experienced in tactics. Now look at how much both teams have improved. But don't get me wrong. Worsfold is also a very smart guy and in time he will be as good as anyone on tactics.
