show of support

What is needed here is a show of support I think. Instead of bombarding the club with emails and letters of abuse, maybe we should let them know we are here and behind them and are hurting with them. Let them know that we want the spitter kicked out, if he is a member, and that we hate being brande as ferals because of the actions of a stupid few. Perhaps also, a few letters to The Footy Show would be in order, to let those morons know that most of us are decent supporters, but it seems that the publicity only seems to go to morons.
Ideally I would really like to organise some sort of rally of support at a training session perhaps, to let the players know we still care, but a lot of you guys come from too far afield.
Ah well, theres only one way to go from here!

I'm going to rock up to training this week. I’ve had enough of watching these idiot supporters **** our club up. Who's coming with me! I'm taking down a tape of the club song and going to belt it out a few times let them know some one cares show a bit of passion. Its time to rely the troops! I'm sick of these so called supporters kicking us when where down confidence. Bloody spit on the players ITS NOT ON!

Show of support. How about sacking the inept coach?

We've been let down. Our captain was telling us we were aiming for top 4 pre-season, our coach was telling us he'd surprised everyone pre-season, and our president was telling everyone that everything's fine down at Punt Rd.

You guys should be sitting in the MCC members with the rest of the Demons supporters. Collingwood fans spit. Richmond fans neither spit at players, nor do they send fluffy thank you letters on pink writing paper when the team loses.

I'm going to training to boo them. These players get paid top money and we are at 95% of our salary cap. They are not worth $10 in match payments from what I've seen in the past 2 weeks. They should be sent to play football in Tasmania where they belong. They're not even fit to play VFL

1980 might have got one right here...of course you'd hope so after 230 odd posts...but what if we get the players on a pay per win rate.

Unfortunately Richmond supporters do spit. And I wasn't thinking of thanking the club, more showing them that we are not all mindless morons. I'm as passionate a supporter as you can get (or used to be), but I wont sink to the level of abuse shown the other night. No body deserves that sort of treatment, it is a game for gods sake. Danny will be gone soon anyway, there is no need to drag our clubs supporter reputation to lower that that of Collingwoods
Payment by performance probably should be how its done, maybe their hip pockets are more important than their pride.

Are you going to Richmond training who you are not supporting for now to boo , or to Coburg training who you are supporting for now to boo?

I am not going to training. I am not going to boo or cheer or show any emotion whatsoever. The club already has my money, the players are getting paid, and Danny will still pocket more than the prime minister this year.

I am going to turn up to matches, but until I see something to get emotional about, why bother. The way these overpaid imposters have been playing and/or being coached, they do not deserve for us to rally behind them, or even slag them off (as for spitting, no comment required). We constantly hear these days that AFL football is a full-time profession, so the club should act professional and try and win back the hearts of the supporters.

We are an absolute laughing stock, and until the club makes a stand or a statement that will even give us hope for the future, my energy will lie elsewhere. This does not mean I don't care about the club in general, I don't think too many down there at the moment do, so why should I give a toss about them.

Who heard Dany Frawleys sister on 3AW over the weeken. To me it eally brought a human face to this whole coaching game. Sure we bag the coach and some of us want him gone, but for his family to be abused and threatened, things seem to be getting out of hand and it's a disgrace. If you havn't heard it you should ask 3AW for a copy, it will really make you think and take stock of what is really important.
