Side vs Port

I think we could get away with Maxwell on Westhoff, Harry O to Motlop as he is the biggest danger and strongest athletically. Which leaves Goldsack with Ebert which I am really not happy with :S times like these you miss Heath Shaw. I would actually as much as I will get bagged for this start Toovey on Ebert, the sort of foward he would match up well on.
You may be right. If that's the case we could see one of Brown or Wakelin drop out with one of the midfield emergencies a late inclusion.

Might be an opportunity to give Brown a rest?

Yeh with Port's fowards I have been struggling to find match ups for both Brown and Wakes, Lade in his fairwell tour may spend a fair bit of time foward and be a match up for one of them. But I think between Westoff and Ebert Toovey and Maxwell would be the two that I would look at and the big H for Motlop.

One of Wakes or Brown will take Damon White. If they do drop a ruckman or the other Westhoff forward to stretch us we can always swing Jack back.

I'd be tempted to leave Brown out and give Stanley or Iles a run.

I'd love to see Stanley given a run in the midfield for the rest of the year. His VFL form deserves it. To the point where as a inside mid I really can't see the flaw that is keeping him out of the side. Your never going to find out if he is up to it as a midfielder by playing him as a small defender or a foward flank for a game and dropping him.

White played back last week I think not sure if that will happen again though.

We may try a forward line with Justin Westhoff (199cm), Matthew Westhoff (198cm), Brendon Lade (199cm) & Damon White (193cm) along with Ebert & Motlop, just to see what happens.

Anyway, let's hope it's a great game to watch, good luck guys

If that was to happen I'd dare say Wakeling would play on Lade, Brown on White, Goldsack on J Westhoff. Maxwell on M Westhoff ?, Harry on Motlop and Toovey on Ebert.

Question mark being on M Westhoff because I am unsure on the build on him and his strength. If he is similar build and strength to his brother I would use maxwell. If he is a bigger unit I may be tempted to throw JA back.

The thing about Justin is that while he is tall and has great hands he doesn't demand a deadset full back because his very much a pure lead up player and can be out bodied and out positioned. Due to that a player that can stick with him and get good body position and a good punch (a player like Goldsack.) Can give up a bit of height on him and still do the job.

On a slightly related note what is the weather like in S.A, If it is wet I doubt you would go with such a top heavy fowardline, in which case I would deffinately suggest dropping a backmen and bringing another slog it out inside mid like Stanley

Matt Westhoff is built along the same lines as Justin, maybe a fraction more muscle?

I live in the Adelaide hills (Mt Barker)

It has been pissing down here on several occasions today, but that can be a long way different from what it'll be like at Footy Park. (if it is going to rain in SA, Mt Barker is a pretty good bet for the site of the downpour :o)

Will be an Interesting game and Rain could make it even more Interesting because it could be a Slog
