I thought yesterday was one of the best games I have seen from Simon Wiggins. I have always thought he has gone hard at the ball but his disposal had often let him down.

Yesterday he had:
17 Disposals
4 Marks
4 F50 Entries (Including one sensational pass onto the chest of Fev)
3 Tackles
and most importantly 0 Clangers

I am not getting ahead of myself and still think he needs to work hard to ensure he is there next year but if he keeps on putting in performances like yesterday he would have to be ahead of a couple of other blokes.

Thoughts?

Have to agree with that. I have been very critical of him, but yesterday Chief was pretty good. His decision making.... especially in the last quarter where he got the ball on the back of the centre square, weighed up the options, didn't panic, and nailed Fev on the lead.... it was surprisingly out of character, but hopefully he can keep it up.

Put it this way, he shouldn't be dropped this week.

He plays with a lot of passion, you can see him jumping around when we won and signing the song like a bloke who believes he will be at the club next year if he does everything right from here.

he tends to show some leadership on the ground too, always talking and encouraging players.

He goes at it hard, plays basic footy. He just needs to not make to many mistakes and keep kicking the ball long to Fev on the nipple.

He is a tough nut and goodness knows we don't have too many of those. I hope he can string together a few games like that because I would really like to see him make the grade. He is certainly playing for his future at the club and will need to play consistently like he did yesterday, to stay on the list at the end of this year.
