With the AFL cracking the shits at both the MCG and docklands and their lousy finacial agreements, Brian Cook has piped up and floated the idea of good ole' KP hosting some of the Melbourne clubs home games (against the likes of freo/port/sydney etc).

Apparently in the last 3 years they have spoken to several clubs about it as an option and had no interest, but Cook seems persistent! Clearly a good revenue raiser on the side, but would it be worth it? I kind of like having skilled just as our own little fortress...even though it is unlikely what are people's thoughts?

I've got no problems with Melbourne and Richmond (particularly the tigers as they have a longstanding tradition of hopelessness against us regardless of the venue) both teams are struggling right now and maybe for next few seasons as well. There's little to no advantage to be lost if they host some of their games at KP.

But to be honest I also doubt teams like the bullies, kangas, saints, dawks etc.. would gain much knowledge/advantage if they play 2 or 3 games a year (instead of 1 on none at all) at KP either. 5 or 6 games down at KP would be pushing it though.

some good points there. i realise its a highly unlikely outcome but i just feel its our board being slightly financially greedy...we're in a pretty healthy position and i just dont think its really worth it!

the tigers could play every game at skilled and we'd still have their measure:D

I don't see any harm in it and in theory it makes sense. But the thing with the MCG & The Dome is that they are neutral venues to begin with while SS is our home ground. Therefore everything around it and in it is about the Cats. So I could understand why the Melbourne clubs would be hesitant.
