Yeah I'm without a computer again, power jack playing up so it won't charge, will respond to all once I get a keyboard and my notes in front of me.

Skippos
Where do you see bid for
Mills
Hopper
Kennedy
Keayes
Hipwood
Rice
Jack Silvagni
coming from?

Not Skippos but I will give my quick thoughts.
I think the Phantom draft in 2 weeks will also give some more information.

Where do you see bid for
Mills (3-5)
Hopper (3-7)
Kennedy (5-10)
Keayes (8-20)
Hipwood (5-15)
Rice (25+)
Jack Silvagni (Maybe nobody they may allow him into the third round)

Those would be my rough guesses at the moment.

HE'S a footballer....Though his kicking's not great/Afl standard....Definitely a touch of the Stevie Jays about him.

Hopper is the closest thing I've seen to Dangerfield on a junior footy field.

The whole academy thing has Mills set up as the poster child, Hopper is one in all seriousness. Time will tell but I'd have Hopper at 3 and Mills at 5

Would not be surprised to see GC take Collins at pick 6. Buckenara rates him at pick 3 based on ability, footy smarts and strength. Likely he will be available at 6. GC have good KFPs' but could do with a KPB with the added bonus he could play next year. With the mid guns due back in 2016 the backline should see a little less pressure as well.
Love how Matthew Allen wrong footed Collins who put in a chase as bad as Martin chasing Yarran in his GOTY...

Group think favourite with a few Carlton fans wanting us to draft Watson and McCarthy, I mean Weitering and Collins to sure up the spine.

Who will take Bonner?

Looks a good kick and smooth mover. Over to the Hawks who might Birchall him. :)

Hey Skippos i'm interested in your thoughts on Rioli v Kerbatieh v Ferreira for Port Adelaide. Particularly which one is the best crumber?

Do you know how Tim Sullivan is going and if there is any interest in him? He sounded like the best of the rucks at the start of the season.

Also, I am hanging out for some more information on Tahana! Could he be a tagger?

Cheers!

Hey, I was just wondering when the next major update on your phantom draft will be. Keen to check it out.

Mills is a jet, would have dominated NEAFL this year if not injured...he was better than heeney in his bottom age by quite a margin ....just didn't get to see him this year

You're right, he probably would have. I just think Hopper has kicked up a gear and is a much more rounded player who has serious scoreboard threat. Mills might have evolved similarly but would you take that risk over the proven?

Skippos - how early is too early for Rioli? I really don't know a lot about him but seeing as we've been linked with him and we've now moved down into the early 20s...more likely at 21 or 30? I think pick 20 is a certainty to be Ben McKay if the rumours that we've been hearing over the past few months are true. Would love a bit more detail on how you see him as well when you get a chance.

Generally I reason that exceptional small forward options go around the teens and limited ones more around the 30s-40s. Most smalls are the limited types for mine - your true goal sneak forward pockets. Rioli isn't *that* good. If blokes like Lonie are early 40s, then to me, so is Rioli.

What might change that is the shallower pool this year. After 25-28 it's really dropping off; blokes who go 40 last year could go 30 this year. Which could push Rioli up into that late second round bracket.

I'm going to defer on McKay. I've genuinely never seen him; he's the only player around the first two rounds I haven't seen at least once (bar Clayton Oliver, I've seen the rest 3+ times). From what I'm hearing it'd be a solid pick at that range, but I'd read very little into anything I say on Ben - I'm not in a position to assess him.

Skippos old buddy old pal who will the Tigers be looking at do you think? Heard Dan Richardson on a podcast today say there should be a few small forwards around our pick.

I think you're a good bet for Hisham Kerbatieh. Fills a specific need and should be there in the 30s. Poor man's Milne type - a bit selfish but quick and has real goal sense.

I hope someone picks Collins before our third or even fourth pick. Manchild defender with an alleged huge turning circle and poor closing speed sounds like Matthew Watson. Comparison could be off the mark, yet Watto was all the rage as a contender for pick ten in his draft. Emma Quayle even wrote that you didn't need a midfield if you had Watson's left boot.

Right club could make Collins work as part of a team defence. Saving grace could be Collins' superior beep test (14.2 to 12.1), possible competitiveness, recovery and workrate.

Hope we don't use to two picks on defenders like we did five years. Hope we get Weitering, a mid and a couple of talented forwards. Amazing that Parker was available after Watson, Lamb and McCarthy. One of those resting mid-forward types please. Might be our want with Kerridge, Lamb and Sumner joining Cripps, Graham, Murphy, Thomas, Whiley, Smith, Boekhorst, Everitt and Gibbs on the list.

I tend to agree on Collins. I think he'll make it - and I think he'll be a very handy defender. But I'm just not seeing what'd make him a top 10 player.

KPDs rarely hit the top 10; those that do have a real point of difference. Collins is just a really reliable stopper type with a bit of offensive game. I don't think he's elite in that many areas. Weitering, Hurley....even Lever before injury - all had points of difference, whether it be that rebounding dominance or just absolute contested superiority. Daniel Talia as an elite stopper only goes 13 or so. Which is to me, where someone like Collins should go or a touch later.

These days we're finding it easier to manufacture key defenders. Athletic forwards who lack the smarts go down back and dominate; converts from other sports can do it. We're realising that good stoppers don't necessarily need to be good footballers; and by that token I'd be less inclined to waste a high pick on one knowing we can now manufacture them from other areas.

HE'S a footballer....Though his kicking's not great/Afl standard....Definitely a touch of the Stevie Jays about him.

Hopper is the closest thing I've seen to Dangerfield on a junior footy field.

I'm a massive wrap on Hopper. I agree with you, really. He's not as explosive but in terms of 'see ball -> forcefully win ball -> explode with ball' Hopper resembles Dangerfield. I think there's a bit of Brad Crouch there.

Just seen I missed these questions - apologies.

Ok skippos please give me an preference order of these options for our 2 1st round picks as they stand
H McKay , milera , tucker , ah chee , Collins , Burton

And also a preference between Mitch hibberd and Aidyn Johnson who I think will both be in mix for our 2nd rounder especially if we upgrade it

Honestly, I don't really have a preference between them. Collins last, then much of a much. I'm cooling a bit on Milera, rated him ahead of the curve for most of the year but as others have exploded on him I've cooled a little.

Not that we have that pick anymore, but Hibberd - easily.

Wouldn't be surprised if O'Kearney ends up as one of the best of this lot. Very small bust potential as has been previously stated with definite scope for improvement.

I disagree. I think O'Kearney goes second-third round and justifies that and that only. He's a reliable prospect but in terms of upside - I can't see him being elite. Jack of all trades, master of none.

Has Clayton Oliver been mentioned?

Yeah. He'll go highly. Probably top 25.

Skippos what can you tell me about Patrick Levicki from Norwood? Apparently he did well at the SA combine.

He's ok. Not sure he's a ND type but a bit to work with. Good size, reasonably athletic, has a rebound game. Don't focus on him when I'm at Norwood games but he looks a reasonable type.

Kerbatieh is a Milne type, Ferreira a Walters type, Rioli a bit harder to compare but maybe more a Garlett type?

I think Kerbatieh makes it. Just smart, backs himself. Good kid. Ferreira I'm much less sold on. Rioli sits inbetween them, has the athleticism but I've not seen him in a high standard game so any assessments on him are rash. Kerbatieh the best forward IQ.

Sullivan may have to wait another year. These days 'rucks' often do. That said, I don't think he's really a ruck. He's a KPD who can chop out in the ruck at the next level for mine. Was one who really couldn't justify missing a year.

Tahana could be a tagger, but without checking combine results I suspect his endurance needs a lot of work to get there. He's got the close checking ability, athleticism and contested ability to tag, just needs the tank.

Hey, I was just wondering when the next major update on your phantom draft will be. Keen to check it out.

Soon. Planned to do it over the weekend but didn't get time. I'm bogged down hard this week so as of next Monday when I'm essentially done for the year, I'll be able to spend a solid week on this.

Hey skip, who are some big bodied strong mids preferably inside who could be avaliable at the 35-50 range?

Hey Skippos, saw that someone had asked KM how he ranked the drafting performance of each club over the last few seasons (6-8 was the suggestion). I thought it was an interesting question and wondered what order would you have them in?

Skippos

Do you see early bids going for Silvagni, Rice and Dunkley if he does nominate Swans?

Surely in your eyes Lions will be in deficit next season?
