After watching the last two Eagles games, it wont bother me in the slightest if Lycett leaves the club. He got obliterated by Gawn and then Martin in the ruck and looked pretty poor around the ground. I know people are going to jump up and say "Gawn is a god etc.." but he didnt even look like contesting against him. Max had his best game for the season against Lycett and Scott had Vardy to back him up! Martin had a pretty good game against out two as well.
Lycett is said to be commanding over 700k per year? We would be better just getting another like Vardy who competes but wont win many taps, but still is effective around the ground ( saving a bit of cash too).
Lycett was good against Port and Freo, but yeah, both teams didnt have their first ruckman. Seems like if he goes up against a decent ruckman, he is found wanting. Not someone worth 700k for mine.

Fact of the matter is that the team as a whole hasn't been spectacular the last few weeks, they've just been getting it done. How about we wait til the end of the season before putting the boot into Slyce. He gave Grundy a bit of a bath last time we played the Pies - lets see how he goes this time round?

He was good vs Grundy.

His timing was shot against Gawn. It's like he psyched himself up for a big game and had a rush of blood that lasted all game. Jumping comically early every single time.

Didn't really notice him against Brisbane other than noticing Vardy seemed to tap to advantage more often.

Ok, my OP must have come out wrong. I was suggesting that he wasnt worth the 700k people were discussing, so if he was offered such, we should say "take it" and begin looking for another stop-gap ruck.
