Fourteen players.
Feel free to sign up even if there are more than fourteen people trying to get in, I'll handpick the players based on past game activity.
It'll start tonight, I'll do the rules in a few hours.
RULES:
At the start of the game, each player will receive a PM (With exception of those who are Townsfolk (Who will NOT get a PM), and told their role. They be in this PM with other players.
At the conclusion of each phase, be it the day or night phase, a player will ether be lynched by the village (Day phase) or possibly killed by player(s) with killing abilities (Night phase).
Every player may lynch, and to do so, during the day phase they will indicate the player they wish to lynch in the following format in this thread:
"VOTE: username. (Reason)"
Please note the following about voting:
The player with the highest votes will be lynched by the town. If there is a tie, I will flip a coin from the nation of my choice to determine the player to be killed.
Players who don't vote two day periods in a row may be killed, but it is up to the mafia to tell me. This mafia kill will be "free" (Doesn't count as their night action). (This does include players who don't vote using the correct format)
To kill at night, you must inform me who it is you want dead in the PM I sent you during the night phase. If two people kill each other, then they both die. If you are killed, your kill does not count.
Day Phase: 7AM-8PM Melbourne Time
Night Phase: 8PM-7AM Melbourne Time
When a player has been killed I will announce it, and their true role revealed.
No active player may discuss this game with another active player outside this thread or the designated PM.
Once you are killed, you may post once more, but it can't impact the game in any way.
Players recruited must play for the Mafia, and cannot help the town in anyway. Don't be a dick.
I may make any amendments to the rules at any time if I wish, and these amendments will be announced in the thread.
ROLES:
Good:
Spy (1): May have a transcript of the Mafia convo for the last 24 hours at any time in the game, only once. The names of the Mafia players will be replaced with their role.
Vig (1): Can kill once a night, but if they kill a good player (or townfolk) they kill themselves over the guilt.
Mayor (1): This player will be announced to the town at the start of the game, they cannot be recruited by the Mafia. For only one day period the Mayor can announce that they would like to lynch two players that day. They must message me this information, and the player with the second most votes will be lynched. The Mayor may also ask the Lunatic to kill. The Mayor also knows all the Good player roles. If the Mayor is killed by the Mafia, the town get two additional lynchings the next day.
Good Win Conditions: All Mafia dead
Bad:
Godfather (1) : On the first night the Godfather may recruit a player with no role (The Godfather will be notified if the player they attempted to recruit has a role, but not what the role is and may keep guessing until they get someone with no role) and kill any player. After the first night, the Godfather may kill or recruit. The Godfather must stop recruiting when the total number of Mafioso reaches 3. Players with roles cannot be recruited and the Mafia gets to keep guessing until they hit a Roleless player.
Mafioso (0) : In the same PM as the Godfather, must play for the Mafia, if the Godfather dies the Mafioso who was recruited first becomes Godfather, and so on.
Lunatic (1) : Kills a player without a role on the first night (Gives five players, player will be picked at random) and the Mayor sees the killing. The Lunatic is arrested and may not speak again. The Mayor can ask the Lunatic to kill someone, and the target and the Lunatic will both die after the next night period. Only the Mayor knows who the Lunatic is.
Bad Win Conditions: Lunatic wins if the town does, Mafia wins if number of good (including townfolk) = number of Mafia
