I am a roos supporter and really sad to see our baby lindsay Smith go to Carlton, he is going to be a great player and takes marks sky high, he is a qualified ruckman and is only about 20 or so, would just like to ask u carlton supporters to look after our roo baby, he is such a sweet guy, good luck linds, please say you'll look after him, PLEASE

Sorry Michele. I did actually respond to your post yesterday but got booted before it had loaded.

We will look after Smith if he is as good as the Roos fans say. We will miss Porter a lot too and I promise he will respond well to being the number one ruckman and has a huge heart and good desperation. Very strong hands and works well pushing back in defense.

He has played AFL football. He was injured for most of the previous season and only played one or two games this season.

I don't know whether you are serious or not, but I am more inclined to believe you are a $hit stirrer and won't be around here too long if you are!

thanks to those of you who will look after the our old baby, and I promise u I will look after Ports, Lindsay s only 20 years old what do u expect'I am the best', he is going to be great, beleive it, he has this magic to take flying marks, wouldn't be surprised if he takes Mark of the year, he has Silky skills but really is a sweety, I'll be looken out for him next year and coming to training to see him, but yeh I will look after your ports for u as best as I can, and u look after linds, it must be hard for lindsay being so young and getting traded!!!anyway thanks byeeeeeee

Thanks for the info The Old Dark Navy's. It is sad to see a player the supporters like go to another club.

As you and Bee have stated, neither of you wanted Porter to go, nor did we want Corey to go. He is a great clubman and a great player. Hope Lindsay does well too - but not against North; he takes a spectacular mark.

We will take care of Ports.

as for Linds well we will just have to go down to Optus Oval to see him (and Brett backwell of course) be thankful that Linsday at least didn't go interstate or it would be worse. Carlton ppl watch out for his amazing leaps...ah but i did see him drop quite a few marks for the Murray Roos this year although it was prob because every time a pack went up there was Lindsay at the top of it so u can't get them all i guess!

I've actually heard good things about this kid, and we can still get Jarrod Waite (sp?) under father-son so overall I think our trading has been reasonably good.

Good player here...

I see a future for this kid. He is a tall, young and smart player who can take a great pack mark. Will be very valuable for the future... either up forward, down back or in the ruck helping out Allan. Brittian will probably use Smith down back at first, since we lack height down there, and with the retirement of SOS in a years time, by then, Simth will have the physical aspect of his game in order, there being a great Full-Back

But at the meantime, we must wait and see. He could be a great Full-Forward too... or in the ruck, but patience reaps rewards.
