cannot wait for Zane Barzen to get more games into him, and for Sam Fletcher to start playing again. Also interested to see how Tom Graham goes, ultra athletic.

Must be a very good draft year, Luke English can't crack top 50.
there are quite a few unlucky to miss, but this is just my opinion on 'current form'. i dont see interstate games, and those that are ranked in here from interstate are not just playing in the colts/u18. from what i can see luke is only playing in the colts at the moment. happy to be proven wrong because i think going by his 2017 and start to this year in the colts he is close to a class above others at that age. so, at his height and weight, and not seeing him against bigger faster bodies so far, yes he doesn't crack my top 50 on current form.

If he has a good champs will probably rocket up the boards.

Pick 30 Tom Joyce out long term with a hip injury apparently....hasn't played for nearly a month and won't play at the U/18 carnival....might be out for the rest of the season.....can see him dropping out of your 50 pretty quickly....surprised he got to 30 TBH....

What do you know about Tom Graham.
I have been reading a bit about him on the Hawthorn board.
Very raw in terms of football talent I would suggest

yes he probably will drop out. as it is a current form and his form up until that was magnificent, he will disappear quickly of the board.

probably dont know much more than you do, im hearing all the same things and have not seen him yet, i played with his old man after he retired from afl, and if he gets the footy smarts to go with the spoken about athleticism than he will be very intriguing to track

It clearly is headed as "current form", not a top draft picks. Max will go in top 5 but is not playing thus has no current form
Yet you have Jye Caldwell in there?

Jye's hardly played the last 2 seasons, in 2018 he's played 1 TAC game, and 1 for Vic Country where he was injured yet again. Nobody doubts he's highly talented but you're hardly including him on current form?

Correct

Nice pick up. Sorry. I cut and paste my list from power rankings earlier in the year then add/move/delete and rearrange the list into my current form. Sometimes i miss people sometimes i have people in there twice. But yes it is suppose to be a current form so nobody who hasn't played much should be in there. My new Power Rankings will be uploaded tonight.

If we agree that:

1. highly talented players who are long term injured still get drafted, often early; and

2. Some lesser talented players in great form get completely overlooked due to perceived lack of AFL attributes.

Is there really much point to creating a “current form” type list?

I'm interested in your views on our academy guy Connor McFadyen, phantom drafters have him all over the place in their ratings with you being one of the higher ones. What do you see as his weaknesses and strengths.

I hope Tom Berry is rated as low by club recruiters as I'd love him at the Lions with his brother. I like you going out on a limb and rating Rozee so high, I really like him and wouldn't have a problem if we took him at our pick 5 if we don't snag Lachie Neale.

Connor is a hard one to place. His inside and outside work is good. His hands are good and his vision/footy IQ is good too. His 2 way running is good and can have scoreboard impact with his size drifting down fwd. But that is his current problem. Lots of good and nothing great. He is a general practitioner of his game and not a specialist in any area. However he could easily lift it in an afl full time coaching arena. He is athletic and clearly a great size. I have him up there as (depending on trade time) brisbane will have to match a bid early-ish or get him at their second round pick, or risk having another club develop this big kid. They wont want that to happen. And Rozee, has got better each year, and playing well, out of age, against the bigger bodies already. I really rate him and his growth, height/weight and footywise, suggest a much higher ceiling than some others as well as being round 1 ready right now. With Tom, stats, leadership qualities and high footy iq are great but i see him drifting in and out of games. He wasn't part of a great team this year and that might have something to do with it and his upside is big, easily coachable but i have those ahead of him at the moment because if i had to choose a mid/def he has not reached the heights of others this year.

I'm hoping we take Tom with our pick 37, so your pick 40 mightn't get it done ;)
Shaping like the value pick in this draft with his talent base, really only slipped off the radar due to circumstances outside of his control.

I know the dunces that coached Tom for Vic Country at the Championships played him in defence but he is NOT a mid/def he is a mid/forward. Wouldn't be putting too much weight on his form this year, hardly got a clear run at it with a concussion resulting from a collision with the point post here at Mars early in the season and then other niggles followed by a fractured scaphoid at the Championships....then played out of position at the Championships.

Agreed to a point. Like i said there was not much to work with in that team this year. It will also depend on his testing as to whether he will be drafted as a fwd/mid but i highly doubt it. Clubs will see his attack, smarts and clean ball use as well as his leadership qualities and coachability as a person they can mould into a great attacking defender. Because of some problems this year there are others ahead of him. But he will be good

Kicking can be inconsistent at this time mate so he'll need to work on that to ever play in defence IMO.
I've seen a shedload of Tom up close and believe me he will be absolutely wasted in defence, he's a mid 1st and a forward 2nd.
All the testing will prove is he's very quick, has great burst speed and has top end agility, that's better utilised midfield/forward.
Brother Jarrod played a mostly off half back coming through and really only moved into the midfield very late in the TAC season in his draft year.....Don't think Jarrod's played one AFL game in defence, if he has I must have missed it.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Have you see much of Tom Berry before? You hardly mention him.... ;)
