Just a fill-in on Brett Turner. He's a clearance specialist on-baller, with great vision and can kick goals.

Good enough to be tagged by the opposition in a Premiership team which included Durdin, Watchman and a host of good players.

Adelaide have been linked to Jonathan Beech, a skilled forward/utility also. He won West Adelaide's Best and Fairest by a street and is in the top echelon of SANFL players.

I'm amazed at the huge number of TAC players selected compared with SA and WA juniors. Fair enough in the main draft, but in the rookie draft it suggests that clubs do factor in a cost/go home scenario.

yeah i thought SA could have had a few more drafted. I wasn't surprised about Watchman as he did struggle for results but big kids often do. Markov I felt could have been given a go - he went to national combine so clearly 5 teams wanted to see him and he had a super testing so not sure what went on there. Obviously Bampton as well.

re the state league it was good to see Fields, Lambert, Boekhurst and one or two others but gee you'd think Beech, Yarran, Black, Nelson, Marcon etc deserved a look over kids taken who I think are a long way off it.

Butler will be the steal though IMO.
