We've been almost entirely written off across the country, Robert Walls last night stated that our real chances were in the last two years, and while we will be competitive this year, the flag is beyond us. I say we can make it, though Hudson must stay healthy for it to happen. We're also very fortunate that our older heads in Goodwin, Bassett, Edwards and Mcleod haven't done it too hard throughout their careers and hence are still in great physical condition. That gives the side another year to pass on the tricks of the trade to the youngsters which is invaluable.

So ya, the flag is a real chance this year imo, all things going to plan and youngsters improving as they should/could/hopefully can.

Yes of course they can win it this year, it might help us being written off... oviously in 05 we were supposed to struggle but did alright and last year we were raging favourites all season, no pressure this year to speak of. As long as our boys stay fit though, we don't need anymore serious injuries.

Burton has to stay fit and firing this year, he will be THE man.

I agree, with everything except I think Edwards is on a downward slide (when playing in the midfield), he may be an effective half forward ot forward pocket though.

Apart from that none of our senior players should be below the level of last year and I expect some of the younger players to improve and contribute more. Therefore I think we can improve on last year and have more even contributions across the list particularly if we have a better run with injuries.

It's the same every year. Everyone always wants to write the Crows off for a variety of excuses, they're just hoping.

Can we win it? While the previous year's premiers are always everyone's favourite they rarely win it, and there are no other standout teams at this stage. It'll come down to a side with fewest injuries to key players, as it does most years, so we're in with a good chance.

Can we? Of course we can

Will we?

Who knows, who know how we will deal with injuries, form and player development over the next 26 weeks?

Lots of water to go under the bridge at this stage of the season before anyone can answer that question.

If Hudson plays most games and is available at finals time and the your injury count is low then I say yes.

No we cannot, too many question marks hang over our forwardline and ruck, especially now Meeson and Maric have copped long term injuries.

I think we can make the top eight say finished around 6th, but from there it would be an uphill task to pull it off.

Can we make the last 4 again? Yes.

Any team that makes the last 4 is capable of winning it.

Of course we can. We didn't have to be the favourite/top finishing/greatest team all year to win it the other two times.

Theirs always a lot of hype around the Victorian teams at this time of year (potential, super star players, whatever) and thats all it usually is. With some hard work and commitment from the Crows players lets just see how we're going at the end of the season.

course you can, but out of the top 4 teams last year you guys are probably the most likely to fall.
But neil craig might be able to do something

Yes. Barring injuries etc I think the following teams have chance to win it (ie my top 8):

WCE
Adelaide (please, please, please...)
Freo
Bulldogs
St Kilda (Needed to change coach)
Sydney
Geelong (They can't be as bad again this year)
Melbourne

Huddo has almost become our most important payer so as long as he keeps fit, we CAN finish in the top 4 and go all the way .
Dont forget all the injuries we has in 06,and I feel we are going to get a lot more out of our young players in 07 that is something Craigy has really been working on.The forwards will be fine Welsh,Bock Perrie, all had injuies in 06.

How many of theses so called experts gave us a snows flakes chance in hell of doing anything this time 2 years ago? And how many had written us off this time last year as well.

IIRC the only ‘so called expert’ from Victoria that had us in the top 8 in 2005 was Wayne Carey.

Theses so called experts change there mind on a topic day to day it not funny.
